⚡ 🔌 EV charging for schools discounted with government Grants! 💷 🚘

It’s been a while now since the government introduced a new grant for state-funded schools and education institutions.

State-funded schools and education institutions can get 75% off the cost to buy and install charge points up to a maximum of:
£2,500 per socket.
40 sockets across all sites, including any applications made previously via the Workplace Charging Scheme.
Academy trusts can apply for up to the maximum of 40 sockets for each institution within the academy trust.

Successful applicants will receive a voucher that is valid for 180 days from the date of issue, the installation must be completed within this time.

Funding is confirmed until 31st March 2025.

With the surge of e-bikes, electric scooters and awareness of sustainability; FIA has warned about the danger and concerning uptick in fire-related incidents, raising critical safety concerns within the industry.

'Alarmingly, a significant portion of the UK population remains oblivious to the warning signs indicating potential battery failure, as revealed by a survey conducted by Aviva. According to Aviva's findings, 71% of adults in the UK lack knowledge of these warning signs, further emphasising the importance of public education initiatives.'
