Works are continuing to progress at the new headquarters for Lawton Tubes in Coventry, with the building now taking shape following installation of the cladding, roofing and the first mechanical and electrical installations!

We’re excited to see this landmark development coming together and are proud to be working alongside Interclass to deliver a sustainable and future-focused facility comprising warehouse, modern office space, and advanced automated manufacturing and storage technology to support the continued growth of Lawton Tubes.

We are thrilled to announce the official completion of the Redditch Town Hall extension and general refurbishment project!

What started as an underutilised 1980s office building has been successfully reimagined and transformed into an accessible, "one-stop" civic hub designed to serve the people of Redditch for generations to come.

A massive thank you to all involved. It’s inspiring to see investment in civic spaces that sit right at the heart of the community. We can’t wait for residents and local businesses to experience the new-look Town Hall firsthand!

We are delighted to announce the promotion of Anjana Suresh-Wood to Associate!

Anjana joined PHd in 2025, bringing with her extensive experience in the Healthcare sector and a passion for delivering positive environmental and thoughtful high-quality designs. Since joining the practice, she has played an important role in developing and supporting the team around her, alongside leading across client liaison, concept development, tender and construction information, and on-site supervision. Anjana’s commitment, enthusiasm and collaborative approach has made a real difference to both the projects she leads and the people she works alongside.

This promotion is a reflection of Anjana’s dedication, her drive to continually grow and develop, and the care she brings to her work and the wider team. We are incredibly pleased to see her progress into this next chapter of her career and look forward to seeing all that she will continue to achieve at PHd.

We’re delighted to announce the completion of the first floor fit out works at Saint Philips Church Centre in Dorridge, Solihull! Swipe to see a 'before and after' of the transformation!

The current church building was completed in 2021, with the first floor being left unfinished due to funding constraints. Our fit out has now transformed the space to provide a Prayer Room, Storage Mezzanine, Office, Kitchenette and Accessible WC. A key focus throughout the design was to maintain the sense of openness across the space, preserving the impression of the floor-to-ceiling glazing on the front elevation.

A thoughtful transformation of an existing space, that will enable the church centre to expand the activities it can offer the local community, potentially including youth clubs and additional prayer spaces, creating new opportunities for connection, faith and community!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the Casa Atletica Italiana Design event, organised by the Camera di Commercio delle Marche to celebrate Italian Architecture and Design! With insightful talks from designers and industry experts, we were inspired by the creativity, craftsmanship and innovation that define Italy’s Marche region.

It was a great opportunity to connect, share ideas and discover more about the people and brands behind the ‘Made in Italy’ excellence, rounded off with a delicious Italian-style aperitivo!

This year’s summer social saw the PHD team canoeing 6 miles down the beautiful River Severn under the summer sun. After racing to the finish for a well earned meal and drinks at the pub, we rounded off the day with a scenic steam train ride back! A great day out for the office to unwind and connect, full of adventure, laugher and quality time!

Construction Progresses at the New Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC)

Construction continues to advance at the site of the new Peterborough Community Diagnostic Centre on Wellington Street.

Moving diagnostic capabilities out of traditional acute hospital settings and into a central, purpose-built facility will play a key role in reducing NHS waiting times, accelerating time-to-diagnosis, and providing accessible care within the community.

Once operational, the Peterborough CDC will deliver a broad spectrum of diagnostic services, including:

Advanced Imaging: CT, MRI, DEXA, X-Ray, and Ultrasound

Specialist Diagnostics: Cardiology, Respiratory, and Fibroscan services

Primary Testing: Phlebotomy services with direct pathology integration

As the physical structure takes shape, this development represents significant progress toward delivering modern, efficient, and community-focused healthcare facilities for local residents.
