Another sizzler today; we're quite greatful we're not having to work in it 😮‍💨

In the garden; the butterflies are busying the Buddleja bush with their flutterings- quite difficult to get a good picture, but here's a Red admiral and a Small skipper for you to peruse 🦋

We've always thought they were *Little* skippers... 🪴🐝

This Butterfly bush didn't get the memo; so here's a honey bee on Buddleja davidii 'Black Knight' 🐝🪴

We inherited this plant when we moved in over ten years ago, and it's the only thing left of the original garden 🪏

The flowers are a deep dark purple & put out THE most sumptuous jam donut smell

You only need one or two flower cones of it to fill a room with fragrance 💜

I wonder if the bees can smell it? 😋
