Bumblebees are one of the most important visitors to your garden. They pollinate our plants, support biodiversity, and keep our ecosystem thriving and summer is when they're at their busiest.

There's something lurking beneath your lawn.

Chafer grubs and leather jackets are two of the most destructive lawn pests in the UK. They live in the soil, feeding on grass roots, and by the time you notice the damage, brown patches, turf that lifts away easily, birds pecking at the surface they've already done serious harm.

The problem? Chemical pesticides were rightly banned by the Environment Agency to protect our ecosystem. The alternative nematodes is kind to the environment but unreliable, because its effectiveness depends heavily on weather conditions.

Now that's a back garden to be proud of. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mrs Gerrard's lawn in Halewood. Thick, green, and beautiful from fence to fence. Even with shaded areas and mature trees, the turf is looking absolutely superb.

From hay to amazing. After just one treatment. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dawn's lawn in Westminster Park, Chester was full of clover and weeds, and the grass felt rough and straw-like. One treatment later the clover is virtually gone, the weeds have cleared, and it looks and feels like a completely different lawn.

May to July. Two months. That's all it took. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Patchy, yellow, and weak to lush, green, and striped. Just look at that lawn in Childwall now. Incredible.

And another shout out to Stuart, who went above and beyond with advice and guidance throughout the journey. That's what our technicians do, they don't just treat your lawn, they help you understand it and get the best out of it.

Is your lawn trying to tell you something? Here's how to spot the signs of drought stress before it's too late. ☀️🌱

When the hot weather hits, your lawn goes through a clear sequence of warning signs:

1️⃣ First, the turf loses its springiness, walk across it and your footprints stay visible instead of bouncing back
2️⃣ Next, the colour shifts from lush green to a slightly blue or silver tone
3️⃣ At this point, your lawn is just days away from turning brown and going dormant

The good news? If you catch it early and give it a good water, you can stop it in its tracks. And even if it does go brown, don't panic, it's the grass's natural survival mode. Once the soil gets moisture again, it will recover.

Here's our guide to keeping your lawn happy in the heat:

🔹 Use the lawn as little as possible, foot traffic damages already stressed turf
🔹 Raise your cutting height to 48–72mm (2–3 inches)
🔹 In drought conditions, don't cut at all
🔹 Keep your mower blades sharp, blunt blades bruise the grass, causing it to lose moisture and discolour
🔹 Give the whole lawn a brief water directly after cutting
