The BESS unit foundation bunds are progressing well on site. The photographs explain the progression of the bunds. Well done to the OCL team!
This week OCL have started the off site 33kv route from the substation to the direction of the 33kv switch room.

It has been an absolute pleasure to have been able to sponsor and support the Wigan Warriors this season on occasions.
Us, our clients, friends and family have all enjoyed the hospitality this season, Not the ending we would of liked but just want say how immensely proud we are of the team.
A massive well done to Bradley O’Neill on winning the man of steel and Matty Peet on winning coach of the year.
We look forward to seeing you all again next season.

It’s been all hands-on deck this week to deliver 2 different concrete pours on the same day, to the CSR Walls and Earthing Transformer base.
The steel fixing and formwork to the plinths is currently underway for the PTX, ETX and CSR.

Feedback from the client remains extremely positive, which is testament to the hard work and commitment shown by the lads on the site.

A massive well done to the site team and office support teams, and a big thank you to our supply chain partners for their continued support and commitment.

A huge amount of hard work and commitment has gone into this project!
The site team has been brilliant throughout the delivery of the new substation project in Yorkshire.
PTX base and kickers concrete poured 51.5m³
Groundworks are progressing well, and the walls and plinths for the PTX, ETX and CSR are taking shape.
Hoping to get the go-ahead to commence the excavation for the NPG building, which will open more works for the team.
We’ve had some great feedback from the client, which is a real reflection of everyone’s hard work.
A massive well done to the site team and office support teams, and a big thank you to our supply chain partners for their continued support and commitment.

☘️ Today we remember and celebrate the life of Paddy Joe English.
Paddy was a true gentleman and a man who gave his life to the construction industry. He was a much-respected member of our team and will be deeply missed by all his work colleagues.
As we say our final farewell to Paddy today, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones ☘️

There is some pride gone into this project!!!
The site team have worked unbelievably well on the new build substation in North Yorkshire.
Foundations are ongoing with the drainage now commenced also.
Had some great feedback from our client, the end user and the DNO on this one.
Massive well done to the site team and the backroom staff, along with a huge thank you to our supply chain.

Some great progress on the new BESS project in Merseyside, North West.
Attenuation tank is now installed along with the drainage and ducting for the project.
Ready to commence piling works and foundations next.
That’s all main excavation works now complete ahead of programme before we go into winter.
Just want to say a massive well done and thank you for all there hard work to the site team and backroom staff.
I also want to thank our supply chain for all there support to date. Sed Services ltd Thank you guys for all your efforts and support especially with all aggregates and muck away.

And that’s a wrap!

Following the new section of cable being installed, The OCL team have reinstated the new joint bay and cable trench. The team surrounded the cable and joint with CBS, backfilled around other services with selected sand, reinstated with pre excavated material and finished off with granite chippings.
The team also reconstructed the trough wall to accommodate the cable diversion and the placement of the GRP covers.
All site welfare and plant are in the process of being collected from site.
Well done to the whole OCL team and suppliers for delivering this successful project.
