Old vented cylinder ripped out. Gledhill unvented system in. Fully insulated, G3 compliant, commissioned and signed off.

Through a busy schedule, we made good on our commitment to Pulborough Shedders installing a mains water supply so the group now has access to clean, drinkable water on site.

It’s a project myself and the team are genuinely proud of. The day was originally planned as a team sea fishing trip, but when that fell through, we agreed without hesitation to head to the Shedders instead and get it done. That says everything about the team we’ve built at GRL.

Josh walked us through the installation on camera, proper copper pipework under the sink, pressurisation setup, expansion vessel, the works, done to the same standard we’d deliver on any paid job.

A big thank you to Bathroom and Plumbing Superstore for supporting us with discounts on materials. And to Josh and the rest of the team thank you for jumping on this without a second thought.

For us, it’s always been about more than plumbing. It’s about giving back, building community, and creating opportunities. We’ll keep doing this as long as we can.

Vaillant EcoFit pure 630 + Tempest Unvented cylinder ✅

Full system replacement completed in Billingshurst, West Sussex this week but this one nearly went a different way.
When we arrived to quote, the client had already seen other engineers. Everyone recommended a combi. That’s what they asked us for too.
First thing I did was ask a few questions. Six adults in the house. Three to four bathrooms. I checked the mains pressure and flow rate and it was immediately clear that a combi would have let this household down badly.
What they actually needed was a Vaillant ecoFIT pure boiler paired with a Tempest unvented cylinder. Mains-pressure hot water to every bathroom, enough flow for a busy household, and a system that adds genuine value when it comes to selling the property.
We don’t just fit what we’re asked for. We ask the right questions first.

That’s an expensive first fix 😊

35mm copper pipework was required due to the distance between the ASHP location and the plant room. A larger pipe diameter was essential to maintain a consistent flow rate throughout the system.

This was the client’s choice, and our job is to deliver a system that performs exactly as it should when we sign it off. No corners cut.

What’s hiding under your floor? 🔴

Every single loop of this underfloor heating system was laid by hand zone by zone, room by room, across the entire ground floor of this new build in Petersfield.
Today we pressure test. Friday it gets screeded. And then it disappears forever under the finished floor warm, silent, invisible.

That’s the thing about the work we do. The best installations are the ones nobody ever sees. But they’re felt every single day.

We won’t pretend the last few weeks have been straightforward. We’ve been operating a van down for three weeks and that has created real challenges in getting to our clients when we want to. But we don’t stop. We communicate, we adapt, and we’re grateful for the clients who’ve shown us patience and understanding during that time.

The van is back on the road. The team is back at full strength. And we’re ready to get back to doing what we do best delivering quality work you can rely on, even when things don’t go to plan.

After a long day, you deserve this. 🖤

Independent spotlights. Three beautifully recessed niches. A Bluetooth LED mirror. A matte black thermostatic shower system. Every detail considered, every fixture placed with purpose.

This client came to us with a vision and trusted us to bring it to life. That trust is everything to us. Bathroom design is where we genuinely shine, beyond our work as plumbing and heating engineers. When a client collaborates with us rather than just commissioning us, the result speaks for itself.

Did this project take longer than planned? Yes. Was it down to time on site? No, circumstances outside of our control. But as we always say at GRL:
The job isn’t done until our client is satisfied.
This one was worth every day of the wait.

Day 2 on site and we’re making solid progress
