A complete driveway & front garden transformation!

This driveway and front garden have been completely transformed, creating a striking, low-maintenance entrance that elevates the whole front of the home.

The project features:

✔️ Fully permeable resin-bound surfacing in Spanish Grey Dark Marble, with contrasting Space Grey borders.

✔️ 40mm artificial grass for a neat, green finish all year round.

✔️ A beautifully finished entrance step with hand-pointed blockwork and a matching resin inlay.

The result is a smart, practical and cohesive space that complements the property's brand-new rear garden.

And speaking of the rear garden... we've got that transformation to reveal very soon!

Playground resurfacing completed in Ickwell, Bedfordshire.

The Borderline Landscapes team recently completed a full playground upgrade for a local preschool, removing the existing cracked rubber surface and rebuilding the area from the ground up.

Rather than overlaying the old surface, we chose to completely replace it to ensure the new system was fully permeable, improving drainage and helping prevent puddling.

The works included new drainage, chamber and manhole cover, a 200mm Type 1 base, 20mm SBR rubber base and 15mm rubber top coat, alongside repainting the fencing and updating the gates.

A complete refresh, creating a more durable and practical outdoor play area for the preschool.

A complete playground transformation in Ickwell, Bedfordshire. 🛝
Borderline Landscapes recently completed a full resurfacing project for a local preschool, replacing a cracked rubber surface that had been laid directly onto concrete.

Rather than simply overlaying the existing surface, we removed it completely and rebuilt the area from the ground up. This approach ensured the new surface was fully permeable, improving drainage and helping to prevent puddling.

The works included:

• Removal of the existing cracked rubber surface
• Replacement of the drainage, chamber and manhole cover
• Installation of a 200mm Type 1 base
• 20mm SBR rubber base
• 15mm rubber top coat
• Repainting of the fencing
• Updating the gates

A complete upgrade to create a more practical, durable and better-draining outdoor play area for the preschool.

A garden that lets the water go where it should.

If you're dealing with poor drainage, puddling or a new-build garden where the ground simply doesn't seem to cope with rainfall, a fully permeable garden could be the solution.

Using the GCL X-Grid system alongside a permeable aggregate sub-base, we can create a garden where water is able to drain naturally through the surface rather than sitting on top, without compromising on how your garden looks.

Resin-bound patios and pathways can be combined with artificial grass and defined borders to create a practical, attractive and low-maintenance outdoor space — while the construction underneath does the important work of managing surface water.

It's a great option for:
✔️ New-build gardens
✔️ Properties with poor drainage
✔️ Gardens prone to standing water
✔️ Homeowners looking for a low-maintenance solution

A better-looking garden starts from the ground up.

From High maintenance hedge to a boundary built to last.

After removing a large amount of existing hedging and trees that were becoming a constant maintenance job for the homeowner, we’ve created a clean, structured boundary with our signature pressure-treated closeboard fencing.
Finished with capping and counter rails, V-notch pressure-treated posts and carefully curved to follow the driveway's shape, it’s a practical finish that still feels considered and bespoke.

With an approximate lifespan of 15 years, it’s a long-term solution built to look good and stand up to everyday life.

A big thanks to Evolution Tree Works for helping with the removal work, and Linnell Bros of Silverstone for supplying the timber.

Another incredible garden transformation from the Borderline Landscapes team

The team have been working hard to keep things moving in Simons absence and this latest project is a brilliant example of the transformations they’re creating.
Taking this space from tired timber decking and an old patio, the team has created a modern outdoor area designed for relaxing and entertaining.

📍Signature K Render flower beds
📍Bespoke oak sleeper built-in seating
📍Flower bed lighting with LED strip lighting beneath the seat
📍 Anthracite 600x900 porcelain paving

Thank you to our trusted suppliers Henlow Building Supplies for ensuring the best quality materials are always on site for when we need them.
