This one’s going to be more than just a garden room. 👊

We’re in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, where an old shed has made way for something much more exciting.

The concrete base is down, the rendering is complete, and the plans are coming together for a brilliant new outdoor space.

Here’s what’s taking shape:

🏡 A bespoke garden room
🌿 A pergola to the front
🪵 Decking and new paving
🍴 Space for an outdoor kitchen, which the customer will be installing themselves

It’s about making the most of the entire garden, creating different areas to relax, entertain and enjoy the space.

And that’s what we love about bespoke builds. Every garden is different. Every customer has their own ideas. Our job is to bring those ideas to life.

Another productive week for the team at DIAD Bespoke Garden Rooms, with excellent progress across our projects.

Our build is now underway, and the concrete base is complete at , ready for construction to begin next week. Meanwhile, flooring and cladding are starting at our substantial project as the space continues to take shape.

A busy week, with the same care, craftsmanship and attention to detail going into every build.

A pool table might look like an interior-design decision.

But for us, it changes the build before the finished floor even goes down. 🎱

At Lower Stondon, the floor joists are being fixed over the concrete base, insulated between and topped with 18mm OSB before the underlay and laminate flooring go down.

But because we already know this room will be home to a pool table, we’ve strengthened the floor structure by installing the timbers at 400mm centres rather than 600mm.

That’s what bespoke should mean.

Not just choosing your doors, flooring and cladding colour — but building the room properly around how you’re actually going to use it.

Apparently we’re having far too much fun in Lower Stondon. 😂

Big day on the build with in for first fix electrics.

And, more importantly, an appearance from Handsome Harry. 😂⚡️

There’s a lot that goes on behind the finished photos — and having good trades around you makes a massive difference.

Work gets done. Standards stay high. And apparently nobody takes themselves too seriously in the process.

Lower Stondon is moving on. 👊
