Restoring heritage. Enabling the future.

We recently completed works at The Hook Norton Brewery Co Ltd following fire damage to the Stables complex.

Working with Midland Building Services and CBG Consultants Ltd, this project went beyond reinstatement. It was an opportunity to upgrade infrastructure and support the brewery’s long-term sustainability strategy.

Our scope included:

• Full refurbishment of the Stables, bottle store and tenanted office
• Infrastructure upgrades within the main brewery
• New feeder pillar to support future load and solar integration
• Enabling works for large-scale PV
• Transition to air source heat pump infrastructure
• Coordination of fire alarm, security and data systems

The result is a future-ready electrical infrastructure, designed to support a renewable-first energy strategy and long-term operational resilience.

Yesterday we competed in the Oxford round of Business Fives Ltd, finishing third in a strong field of local businesses. Congratulations to Aurora Energy Research on taking the title.

What the day reinforced for us is simple: you learn a great deal about a team when they are placed under pressure. Communication, trust and accountability quickly become visible, qualities that matter just as much on a live project as they do on the pitch.

We were also fortunate to hear from Brian Horton, former professional footballer and manager with a career spanning clubs including Manchester City and Oxford United Football Club. His reflections on leadership, resilience and collective responsibility, drawn from decades at the top level of the game, resonated strongly with us.

Thank you to Joey Burns and the wider team for organising a well-run event in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK.

This year, we’re competing in Business Fives , not just for bragging rights, but to raise money for an incredible cause Ronald McDonald House Charities United Kingdom

We talk a lot about performance, teamwork and resilience on site. Business Fives puts those same values to the test off site, with a healthy bit of competitive spirit thrown in.

But the real win isn’t the football. We’re raising funds for charity through this event, and every donation, big or small, makes a genuine difference.
