Just finished this complete bathroom refit in Caernarfon.
Retiled floor to ceiling. New shower tray, cubicle and mixer. New toilet and basin, and refit existing towel rail.
It's been a challenge as being an old house, nothing is square or straight and there were over 300 cuts in the tiling!!

Looks like I'm going to be tiling for the foreseeable future. Taken on a couple of complete bathroom refurbs. This is th...

I'm not quite sure how I end up with these jobs, perhaps nobody else will take them on, but it certainly makes for interesting and challenging times.
Here I was tasked with removing a couple of skylights and repairing this mobile home roof before covering it in an entire piece of EDPM.
I failed to realise a 10m x 3.6m roll of rubber would weigh close to 100kg, but with a bit of extra man power we managed to get it on the roof, where I could roll it out and glue it down with copious amounts of contact adhesive (the wind is particularly strong around here).
It's satisfying to know that the roof is now completely waterproof and the owner can now move back in!

Big or small, we love them all 😂.
I have a couple days of clearing a backlog of smaller jobs before the next big fencing project kicks off in Shropshire next week!
Yesterday I installed this trellis panel on 2 4x4 posts for a client in Braichmelyn and today I'm glazing a door and mending a lock.
Loving the variety!

Another job completed!
Today I finished the steps up from the decking area to the upper level, and installed a concrete strip to retain the neighbouring ground and square off the area.
Caroline kindly sent me a before photo so you can see the transformation from start to finish.
I very much enjoyed this project!

I didn't take any before photos unfortunately, but basically the area was damp and mossy with a disused pond and lots of rocks. There was also a big holly stump that needed digging out.
Now, its possibly the flatest area in the whole of Gerlan 😂.
Just some steps to build next week and another garden transformation complete👍

What a glorious day to finish off this retaining wall in Well Street, Gerlan, Bethesda☀️☀️
It's always best to go in over spec with something as structural as this.
The foundations were layed with 200mm deep C30 mix concrete to a minimum width of 450mm. 16mm rebar was set into the footings at 900mm centres to coincide with the block cavities. The wall was constructed out of 9" hollow concrete blocks with a 4:1 mortar mix. Once set, the block cavities were filled with C30 concrete to encase the rebar and tie footings, wall and bar together. That wall is going nowhere💪💪👌.
The final phase was to cap the top of the wall off with some good old welsh slate to stop any ingress of water from the weather👍

My work is varied if nothing else!
The starts of a retaining wall at a property in Well Street.
All materials had to be hand balled 100m down an alley and then down 2 levels of terracing, so it's been pretty labour intensive!
