Snow is forecast from Friday and temperatures are already dropping below freezing.
Pipes freeze and the water expands bursting a hole in exposed pipes.
Annexes, garden rooms, empty homes, holiday lettings, homes in probate, places left empty while you flee to the sun should all be thought about. Turn off supplies, drain tanks , boilers set at frost protection settings, outside taps that have isolators indoors switched off and the tap left open.
Boiler condense pipes that are often too small , 32mm should be the minimum when outside need to be upgraded before the middle of the coldest night when your boiler grinds to a halt!
I can upgrade condense, make safe empty homes and outbuildings and advise on things that could be worth doing .
But in the meantime have a think and a look at where you might be able to switch things off untill the weather warms up

It is cold enough to have been out to the first burst pipe to an outside tap this evening.
If it's got an isolator to yours under the sink , shut it off tonight.

If it hasn't or it's already burst, I won't be taking my shoes off , so call me!
