🔥 Another pair of stoves installed in Awsworth! 🔥

We’ve recently completed this installation of two Mazona Wicklow/Warwick 4kW log burners, giving this property a fresh, warm and modern finish while keeping the character of the existing fireplaces.

For both installations, we made up the hearths from scratch and finished them in a black slate-effect tile, continuing the same finish through the fire recesses for a clean, seamless look. 🖤

Both stoves have been fitted and commissioned ready for the customer to enjoy this winter. 🔥

A beautiful cottage fireplace transformation 🔥

Another one completed in Denby Village, where we’ve brought this old fireplace back to life while keeping the rustic character of the original cottage.

We removed the existing open fire, fully opened up the fireplace and carefully cleaned back the original brickwork before repointing it, keeping the aged, rustic appearance that suits the property perfectly.

We then installed a Crytec 4.5kW wood burning stove, finished off with a beautiful black limestone hearth.

A simple but really effective transformation — keeping the original character while giving the fireplace a much more efficient and modern heat source. 🔥🏡

Today we carried out a full chimney survey for a client purchasing a property in Belper.

Twin Wall Flue Maintenance Completed – Fritchley 📍

Another couple of twin wall flue maintenance jobs completed today in Fritchley.

On the first system, we removed the existing flashing, which had been allowing water ingress, and replaced it with a new lead flashing to provide a long-lasting, weatherproof seal and prevent any future leaks.

On the second system, we extended the flue by adding an extra section to ensure it now complies with HETAS height regulations. Due to the exposed rural location and the surrounding landscape causing cold air to be forced back down the flue, we also fitted an anti-downdraught cowl to improve the appliance’s performance and help eliminate downdraught issues.

Keeping your flue system correctly installed and properly maintained is just as important as servicing the appliance itself. It ensures safe operation, protects your property from water damage, and helps your stove perform as efficiently as possible.
