Street Lighting Cable Jointing Works

C&H Electrical recently carried out cable jointing works as part of a street lighting repair.

The team removed an old faulty cable joint and installed a new joint, along with a new section of SWA cable, helping to restore the street lighting supply.

A big thanks to MWH Groundworks Ltd for carrying out the excavations and managing the traffic management throughout the works.

💡 Car Park Street Lighting Project – Completed

We’ve recently completed a small car park street lighting project.

C&H Electrical carried out the lighting design, along with the supply and installation of the complete electrical installation.

🔹 LEDTURE LED lighting fittings
🔹 Schneider distribution board and control gear
🔹 Supply and installation of all associated cabling and equipment

⚡ Underground Cable Fault – Located & Repaired ⚡

We were called out after a client lost supply due to a cable fault. Using our specialist testing equipment, we quickly pinpointed the fault location. Our civil contractor then carried out the excavation, which revealed a heavily damaged joint that had been exposed to water ingress.

To ensure a long-lasting repair, we cut out the fault, installed a new section of SWA cable, and completed the job with two fully resin-sealed joints. This not only restored power but also provides our client with a reliable and safe connection going forward.

The pictures don’t fully capture the work involved, but the end result speaks for itself — power restored, downtime minimised, and peace of mind for our client.
