⚡ A milestone moment — 100 Tesla Supercharger stalls in Ireland! 🇮🇪

From supporting the very first Tesla Supercharger build in Ireland to reaching the landmark 100th stall, M&M Contractors is incredibly proud to have played a part in this journey alongside Tesla.

And what better way to mark the occasion than wrapping the 100th stall in the National flag at their Longford site⚡

For our teams, this milestone represents much more than a number. It reflects years of collaboration, projects delivered across Ireland and a shared commitment to expanding reliable, high-quality EV charging infrastructure.

A huge thank you to the Tesla team, our own teams on the ground and everyone who has contributed along the way.

To be recognised across three categories is something we’re incredibly proud of, particularly as each one reflects an important part of who we are as a business.

M&M remains a family business at heart, but our continued growth and success has only been possible because of the people behind it. 🔋 Project Spotlight | 5MW BESS – Northern Ireland

As the demand for greater grid flexibility and energy storage continues to grow across the UK & Ireland, we’re looking back at one of our previous Battery Energy Storage System projects delivered in Northern Ireland.

M&M Contractors successfully delivered key infrastructure for this 5MW BESS facility, supporting the project through construction and energisation. Working closely with NIEN, our team coordinated the grid interface, ensuring all associated works were completed safely, compliantly and in line with network requirements.
Projects like this demonstrate the importance of bringing delivery and grid expertise together under one team — reducing interfaces and providing greater control over safety, quality and programme.

With significant investment now progressing across BESS, renewable generation and grid infrastructure throughout the UK & Ireland, M&M is actively looking to support developers, EPCs and asset owners from early-stage feasibility and design support through to procurement, construction and energisation.

As M&M Contractors continues to grow across Ireland, we’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our expanding team.

This is an opportunity to become part of a business delivering major civil, electrical and energy infrastructure projects across Ireland, with a strong and growing pipeline across:

Working closely with our Commercial, Estimating, Operations and Business Development teams, you’ll play a key role in pricing and securing projects from tender stage through to award, helping shape the next phase of M&M’s growth in Ireland.
We’re looking for someone with strong estimating experience within electrical, civil, utilities or infrastructure projects, who understands the Irish construction market and is comfortable managing tenders across a varied project portfolio.

⚡Powering Major Infrastructure

A look back at one of M&M Contractors’ major DNO HV infrastructure projects, supporting the connection for a major Motorway Service Area in the South of England.

Spanning over 6km and crossing multiple boroughs, the project required significant coordination between councils, highways teams, stakeholders and our delivery teams to keep works progressing safely and efficiently.

The scope included the delivery of dual 33kV circuits, fibre infrastructure, joint bays, chambers, HDD and associated civils, with sections of the route passing through busy highways and constrained residential areas.

Beyond the technical delivery, projects of this scale are about managing the complexities that come with major infrastructure works — coordinating permits, traffic management, local authorities and multiple work fronts while maintaining programme.

As demand from EV charging, transport, Grid reinforcement/ expansion, data and renewable energy continues to grow, projects like this demonstrate the critical infrastructure required behind the transition to electrification.

M&M Contractors continues to support this transition through successful delivery of these large scale, complex HV infrastructure projects across both the UK & Ireland.

Achilles provides an important independent assessment of the standards and processes we have in place across the business, so achieving a score like this is a fantastic reflection of the work happening every day across M&M.
