REDBRICKS ANNEX – COMPLETE 🏡

A few months on and the Redbricks annex is now fully finished, lived in and doing exactly what it was designed to do.

What started as old, unused farm/yard buildings has been completely transformed into a warm, comfortable and independent living space for elderly relatives – giving the buildings a new lease of life while keeping family close by.

For many families, converting an existing outbuilding, barn, garage or unused part of a property can be a great alternative to sheltered accommodation or residential care. It allows relatives to retain their independence and their own space, while having family just a few steps away – and in many cases it can make much more financial sense long-term.

At Redbricks we took the existing buildings right through the transformation, creating a proper self-contained home built for comfortable everyday living.

Assembly Rooms – Dereham Town Council 🔨

Another job completed for Dereham Town Council, this time at the Assembly Rooms.

* Removed all of the heavily worn existing Altro flooring
* Strengthened and repaired the original timber staircase where required
* Ply-lined all treads and risers to create a solid, smooth base for the new finish
* Supplied and installed new hard-wearing flooring
* New metal stair tread trims fitted with black infills for a clean, durable finish
* Disconnected the redundant old alarm system
* Replaced an existing LED batten along with a couple of other small electrical jobs

A decent refresh to a well-used area, keeping the original staircase but giving it the strength and finish it needed for plenty more years of use.

The transformation is really taking shape at the Old Post Office. 🏡🔨

Recent progress includes:

✔️ Roof stripped
✔️ New trusses installed
✔️ Felt, battened & tiled
✔️ New valleys completed
✔️ Fully insulated
✔️ Plasterboard installed
✔️ Plastering underway
✔️ External rendering completed

With just the internal finishing works remaining, we’re not far from handing over another quality renovation.

Norwich Road Update 🏡

Another huge milestone reached on this restoration project!

✅ Brand new roof completed
✅ New fascias, gutters & downpipes installed
✅ New concrete window cills fitted
✅ Full external repaint completed
✅ Temporary front door installed

Next up… brand new traditional sash windows are on order! 👌

It’s been fantastic hearing so many compliments from people passing by. After standing untouched and unloved for almost 20 years, it’s incredibly rewarding to play a part in bringing this beautiful property back to its former glory.
