Preparation is key!

As with any tiling project, preparation is just as important as the finished tiles. Getting the groundwork right makes all the difference to achieving a quality, long-lasting finish.

For this project, I removed the existing carpet and prepared the floor ready for its transformation. I then installed the Fastwarm underfloor heating system, which comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Once the heating was in place, I used UltraTile products to level and prepare the floor, creating a smooth and solid surface ready for tiling.

I only use products that I know and trust, because the quality of the materials used behind the tiles is just as important as the tiles themselves.

A lot happens before the first tile is even laid, but good preparation is key to a great finish!

A fresh new look for this bathroom! ✨

We replaced the old blue mosaic floor and wall border with these stunning Topps Tiles slate-effect floor tiles, giving the room a much more modern and timeless feel.

Installed using UltraTile adhesive and finished with UltraTile charcoal grout for a crisp, durable finish that really complements the tiles.

It’s amazing how changing the flooring can completely transform a space.

A simple update that makes a big impact! ✨

We removed the old green tiles and dark quartz windowsill behind the sink, replacing them with these stylish white and grey feature tiles from Walls and Floors.

A kitchen splashback completed last week using classic white metro tiles from Topps Tiles finished with Anthracite grout from BAL Tiling for a clean, modern contrast.

The darker grout works really well against the white tiles and ties in nicely with the worktops and appliances, while also being practical and easier to maintain in a kitchen environment.

For this project, I used UltraTile adhesive to ensure a strong and reliable bond behind the tiles.

Simple metro tiles are still one of the most popular splashback choices because they suit both modern and traditional kitchens and can completely finish the space off.
