PROJECT UPDATE

Another milestone at Charing Cross Hospital.

With the full Sika roofing system now complete, the crane was in place this weekend with the next phase underway, lifting new steelwork to roof level, ready for the hospital's new plant installation.

The wider project will provide a new UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and IPS (Isolated Power Supply) to the hospital's operating theatres, supporting the resilience and continuity of these critical services.

Working at height in a live healthcare environment demands careful planning, tight logistics and close coordination with the hospital, all delivered in conjunction with CBRE.

The next crane visit is planned for the end of September, when the UPS and IPS systems will be lifted into place, watch this space for the update.

The M&J Group is pleased to confirm that we have successfully passed our UKATA audit and are now formally accredited to deliver the NL01 Non Licensed Asbestos Operative course.

This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to industry leadership in safety, compliance, and workforce development. It serves as recognition of the expertise of our training team and the high standard of practical training facilities we have invested so readily in.

With our new UKATA accreditation, the M&J Group can now fully train and develop our own operatives in house, without relying on external providers for skills and accreditations that are critical for the work we deliver every day.

Training in-house using our Training managers, we now have full control over the timing, quality, consistency and relevance of the training our Operatives receive, ensuring it is directly aligned with the realities of construction and roofing work.

It also strengthens our position as industry leaders, enabling us to build competence from within, respond quickly to operational challenges, and maintain the high standards of safety and professionalism that define our organisation.

PROJECT SECURED 🚧

We’re delighted to announce the successful award of a new project at the Adur East Family Hub for West Sussex County Council which offers offers 'Early Help' in the range of support, information and guidance to parents, carers and young people.

This programme of works involves stripping the existing roof back to the deck before installing a new high-performance Fully Flame Free Sika roofing system, alongside the replacement of rooflights and the removal of existing clerestory windows to facilitate the installation of new units by others. The project also includes the replacement of rainwater goods and fascias, the demolition of the existing chimney and tank room, ceiling replacement works, and timber decoration throughout.
