🏡 Traditional Cast Iron Guttering – Huntingdon.
Another job completed today on a beautiful period property in Huntingdon.
The existing moulded cast iron guttering had unfortunately failed on the joints. We initially offered the client the option of carefully removing and then cleaning up and reusing the existing cast iron, but they decided to go ahead with new Alumasc 4" x 3" moulded cast iron guttering.
The new guttering was painted by us prior to installation, giving a high-quality finish while maintaining the traditional appearance of the property.
We think cast iron was the perfect choice for this house, keeping the new work in-keeping with its period character. The property is also undergoing new window installation and lime pointing, so retaining that traditional aesthetic was particularly important.
A few photos showing the old guttering and the new cast iron are attached.
Another job where getting the details right makes all the difference. 👌
