🌳 Welcome to the team, Aidan!

Aidan has made a fantastic start with us already. He’s keen, hardworking and eager to learn, with all the early signs of becoming a very capable climber.

His background in rugby and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has given him a great foundation in teamwork, resilience and working outdoors — qualities that transfer brilliantly into arboriculture.

Investing in training and supporting the next generation of tree surgeons is incredibly important to us. It strengthens our team, helps secure the future of the industry and ensures the high standards our clients expect continue for years to come.

We’re really pleased to have Aidan on board and look forward to helping him develop his skills and build a successful career with Eden Tree Specialists.

Welcome to the team, Aidan! 🌳

Two impressive mature Beech Trees carefully pruned to manage their size in relation to a nearby listed property and the adjacent roadside.

Beech Trees do not respond well to heavy pruning, particularly when mature. Removing too much foliage can place the trees under unnecessary stress and leave them vulnerable to decline, dysfunction and sun damage.

For this reason, we took a sympathetic approach—selectively reducing the crowns to improve clearance and manage their overall size while retaining their natural form and as much healthy canopy as possible.

The work was expertly completed by Ali’s team, alongside Kane and Aidan. The customer was extremely pleased with both the finished result and the professional approach shown by the team throughout the works.

Good arboriculture is not simply about making trees smaller. It is about achieving the required outcome while protecting their long-term health, structure and contribution to the surrounding landscape.

Out with the old and in with the new — all within a day 🌳

This old Plum Tree had sadly died, so our team carefully removed it before preparing a new planting pit and supplying and planting a beautiful Amelanchier Tree.

The new tree was securely staked and supported, giving it the best possible start in its new surroundings.

The finished result is a stunning replacement tree that will provide seasonal interest, blossom and colour for many years to come.

Credit to Jim and his team for completing the entire job so expertly, from carefully removing the old tree through to the excellent finished result.

The right kit makes all the difference.

This large hedge was trimmed to maintain its size, shape and appearance, with our 21-metre Oil & Steel tracked cherry picker used to access the rear garden.

Rather than spending the day repeatedly climbing up and down ladders, the machine allowed the team to work safely, efficiently and at a consistent height.

Investing in specialist equipment helps take the strain out of demanding jobs, keeps the operation running smoothly and allows our teams to focus on delivering a high-quality finish.

Work smarter, not harder.

Congratulations to Daf and Matt, two of our senior arborists, who have completed their NPTC and Lantra Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue refresher training.

Both are already highly trained and experienced members of the team, but regular refresher training is mandatory to maintain these important skills and ensure we continue delivering the safest possible service for our clients.

Well done both—another important bit of training completed.

Something a bit different for the team—pruning a collection of indoor tropical trees.

The trees had outgrown their available space and were beginning to interfere with the building, so we carefully reduced selected branches to improve clearance while retaining their natural shape and appearance.

Indoor trees bring their own challenges, with restricted access and plenty of surrounding features to protect, but it made a great change from our usual working environment. 🌴 🏠

🌳 TPO Oak Tree Pruning 🌳

Careful, considered pruning carried out on this mature Oak Tree (Quercus robur), protected by a Tree Preservation Order.

With the appropriate consent in place, our team carried out selective crown pruning to manage the tree’s relationship with the adjacent overhead power lines, providing suitable clearance and reducing the likelihood of future encroachment.

With mature protected trees such as this, the aim is always to achieve the necessary clearance while retaining a balanced, natural crown and preserving the tree’s long-term amenity value.

A good example of targeted arboricultural management — addressing an important site constraint while retaining a fantastic mature Oak within the landscape.

🌳 Managing Trees Alongside Productive Farmland 🚜

This week our team have been pruning back a long line of mature Eucalyptus Trees which had begun to significantly overhang the neighbouring agricultural land.

As the trees developed, the increasing canopy spread was impacting the usable and productive area of the farmer’s fields. Our works focused on carefully pruning back the overextended growth to provide improved clearance while retaining and managing the tree line.

Timing was particularly important on this project. Carrying out the works immediately after harvest gave us the opportunity to safely access the field with our MEWP, allowing the team to work efficiently along the full length of the boundary without affecting standing crops.

A great example of how well-planned tree management can balance the retention of established trees with the practical requirements of working agricultural land. 🌳🚜

🌳 100 Google Reviews — All 5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We’re incredibly proud to have reached a fantastic milestone at Eden Tree Specialists — 100 Google reviews while maintaining a 5-star rating.

For us, this is about much more than a number. It reflects the standards our whole team works hard to uphold every day — from the first enquiry and quotation through to the quality of the tree work, communication, professionalism and care taken on site.

Maintaining consistently high standards as the business has grown is something we’re particularly proud of, and it’s brilliant to see the quality of our work being recognised by our customers.

A huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave us a review. Your feedback, recommendations and continued support genuinely make a difference to a local business like ours.

And, most importantly, a massive thank you to the Eden team. Reaching 100 reviews with a 5-star rating is a reflection of the pride, skill and professionalism you bring to every job.

100 reviews. 5 stars. One very proud team. 🌳👏

🌳 Summer Training Day 2026 🌳

A few weeks ago we took a full day out of the diary, laid the tools down and focused entirely on training, safety and our team.

Working in arboriculture means being prepared for situations we hope never happen. Every member of the team took turns ascending the tree and carrying out an aerial rescue in a realistic scenario, refreshing the procedures, techniques and communication required should an emergency ever occur.

Taking a productive team off the tools for a full day is a significant investment, but one we believe is absolutely worthwhile. Regular training keeps skills sharp, reinforces safe working practices and, most importantly, helps ensure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.

Once the serious work was complete, we headed over to Daytona Milton Keynes for a well-earned afternoon of competitive karting! 🏎️

A great day combining important training with a bit of fun. Investing in our team isn’t just about qualifications — it’s about continually developing skills, maintaining high standards and building a strong team that enjoys working together.

Well done, team! 👏🌳
