🚿🔧 Kitchen Upgrade Complete – Fresh, Leak-Free & Built to Last! 🔧🚿

Another property brought back to life by the Gastech team 🙌

This one had a very old kitchen sink and waste setup that had definitely done its time. Unfortunately, the pipework had started to split and corrode, leading to ongoing leaks and a lot of frustration for the customer. To make matters worse, the old-style waste system was obsolete, meaning replacement parts just weren’t available anymore ❌

So… we got to work 💪

✔️ Removed the existing sink and outdated waste system
✔️ Installed a brand new kitchen sink
✔️ Supplied and fitted all new waste pipework underneath
✔️ Reconfigured pipework to suit the new installation
✔️ Fully tested and left everything leak-free and working perfectly

The result? ✨
A clean, modern sink setup, no more leaks, and a much more reliable system going forward. Safe to say the customer is very happy!

🚨 Emergency Call-Out – Sorted Within the Hour! 🔧

We were called out this morning to a faulty inlet valve causing issues for the customer. Our engineer attended within the hour, quickly identified that the inlet valve threads had failed, and got straight to work.

The faulty part was removed and replaced with a new brass threaded inlet valve – a much more reliable and long-lasting solution ✅

💧 Issue resolved quickly
⏱️ Minimal disruption to the customer
😊 Customer left very happy with no delays to their day

🚨 BANG... BANG... BANG... 🚨

No… not someone at the door 😅
This was the sound of our customer’s heating pipes every single time the heating or hot water kicked in!

It had got so loud that the neighbours had started mentioning it 👀🙈 and the tenant hadn’t realised quite how noisy it had become from outside the property!

Whilst attending the home for a routine annual Gas Safety Check & Boiler Service, the tenant mentioned the issue to us, so of course we took a deeper look 🔍

After some further investigation, our engineer diagnosed the problem and recommended fitting an Automatic Bypass Valve (ABV) to help regulate pressure through the system and stop the pipe hammering.

⚙️ ABV fitted
💧 System refilled and tested
🔇 Noise completely gone!

Safe to say everyone is MUCH happier now… especially the neighbours 😂👏

🔧 Another plumbing job completed for a very loyal customer! 🚿✨

We recently attended to carry out a few bathroom tap repairs and maintenance works, including:

✔️ Securing a loose tap handle
✔️ Greasing up a stiff tap cartridge to improve movement
✔️ Securing a loose bath tap
✔️ Replacing a leaking cartridge to stop the drip

Small issues like these can quickly become bigger problems if left untreated, so it’s always worth getting them sorted early 💧

Everything now left safe, secure, and working as it should 🙌

Another job completed at a local property👇

This one was a tricky external waste pipe issue. The system had become severely compromised, with corrosion and splitting to the original pipework causing leaks. On inspection, it looked like a historic blockage had been forced through the system, likely putting the pipework under pressure and weakening it over time.

🔧 What we did:
• Removed the damaged and corroded sections
• Replaced with new, durable waste
• Reconfigured connections to ensure proper flow
• Fully tested and commissioned the system

💧 The result? A safe, fully functioning drainage system with no leaks and everything running exactly as it should.

👉 These are great examples of why underlying issues (like blockages or aged pipework) shouldn’t be ignored — they can lead to much bigger problems down the line.

We were recently called out to a local property due to a completely blocked sink 🚫💧

On inspection, the trap and waste pipe were solid with debris, meaning water simply couldn’t pass through. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that can always be cleared — especially when the blockage has built up over time and hardened inside the pipework.

🔧 What we did:

Removed the heavily blocked section of waste pipe & trap
Installed new pipework to ensure a clean, unrestricted flow
Fully tested the system to make sure everything is draining perfectly

💡 This was particularly important as part of the external waste/soil stack had recently been upgraded — leaving old, compromised pipework in place could have caused repeat issues or even damage to the new system.

✅ All now flowing as it should
✅ No further issues found
✅ Happy tenants again!

During a routine boiler service, we identified a fault with the flow connection. These types of issues can often go unnoticed but, if left, may lead to leaks, pressure problems, or reduced system efficiency over time.

✅ Works carried out:
• New flow connection installed
• System re-filled
• Fully tested and checked for correct operation

With landlord approval, we returned promptly and completed the repair today — ensuring everything is now running safely and efficiently 👍

Another happy customer and a job well done by the Gastech team! 👏

We were recently called out to investigate an issue with a leaking and poorly functioning bath tap. After diagnosing the fault, we identified worn internal cartridges as the cause — a very common issue that can lead to dripping taps, poor temperature control, or reduced water flow.

💡 What we did:
• Removed existing tap cartridges
• Sourced suitable replacements
• Installed and tested new cartridges
• Checked for leaks and ensured smooth operation

By replacing the cartridges rather than the full tap set, we were able to provide a cost-effective solution while restoring full functionality 👍
