Worth a read, this is why you need to be careful when getting ac installed in your home, use only properly qualified (city & guilds nvq in refrigeration) companies.

Not the cowboy companies who have just done the 1 week F-gas course. Typically plumbing companies. But not limited to.

A proper ac company may be more expensive, but we know what we are doing and we know how to repair the kit when it goes wrong.

We haven't just completed a course to jump on the heatwave band wagon, weve dedicated our lives to the trade.

If you are offered chinese knock off brands of kit such as gree, electriq or any of the other re badged junk turn it down.

The warranty will be bunk, you will never get spares when things inevitably go wrong. And you will end up paying for a replacement system.

Samsung, mitsubishi, daikin, midea, hitachi, fujitsu, Toshiba are a few of the major trusted brands, with brilliant technical support chains, highly accessible spare parts and good warranties.
