A story of TWO patios!
This customer has a patio and path by the house AND a patio at the top of the garden.

The patio and path by the house has had the crumbling cement jointing ground out, (dusty work!), and new resin jointing has been installed.

The patio at the top of the garden has been completely removed and replaced with a new larger 'squared off circle' patio. This has also been jointed with a contrasting resin compound.

Lovely job, (in the heat!), for a lovely customer!

The initial brief was to solve a drainage issue for a patio with walls surrounding it. There was nowhere for water to drain away! 💦
We discussed a number of options and decided on removing and cutting slabs, digging out the sub base, creating gravel soakaways, adding topsoil, plants and bark chippings. 🪴
This option softens this previously hard landscape and blends the patio with the rest of this lovely garden. 🌿
The (lovely) customers are really pleased with the outcome and we're already discussing other projects for their garden.

Today is the day!
From today Grounded in the Garden goes full time!

Friends and followers will know that for the past year I have been establishing this business alongside still being a part time teacher.

After 28 years of working in various roles in education, I finished working in school for the last time yesterday.

I can now completely focus on my gardening and landscaping business, providing excellent service and transforming outdoor spaces! I might even get some time off occasionally now!

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey so far. Your support has been amazing and has enabled the garden transformations you see in my posts, all of which I am so proud of!

Sorry to anyone who has been waiting for quotes or who I have not been able to fit in to my schedule. It has been hard at times to juggle my business and my school commitments. Thank you for your understanding.

From today, I will be wearing my new Grounded in the Garden branded clothing! You may spot me around, come and say hi!

Soon, my website will be launched, featuring some of the work I am so proud of and some of the lovely reviews I have received.

There will also be other exciting developments as I grow this business, watch this space!

A return visit this week to complete a previous transformation...
Previously I had removed a hedge, cleared, levelled and w**ded, trimmed the hedge.
This week...
- Built a bespoke fence and gate.
- Laid paving for a bin area.
- Dug over and w**ded.
- Laid w**d membrane.
- Planted shrubs, ferns and perennials.
- Covered with a good layer of bark chippings.

The customers and I are really pleased with the overall look and the quality transformation.
