What a transformation this project turned out to be. When I first arrived, the bottom of each of these wooden doors had suffered from extensive rot, which, if left untreated, would have continued to deteriorate. I carefully cut away all of the damaged timber before applying a high-quality wood hardener to strengthen the remaining wood and prevent any further decay. Once the structure was secure, I meticulously rebuilt each damaged section using a durable two-pack wood filler, taking the time to shape and sand every repair until it blended seamlessly with the original doors. The end result was a set of doors that looked as though they had never been damaged.
To complete the restoration, I prepared every surface thoroughly before applying Farrow & Ball paint using a roller, ensuring a smooth, even, and professional finish with excellent coverage. No detail was overlooked throughout the project.
The front step also received plenty of attention. Years of wear had left it looking tired and damaged, so I carefully repaired all imperfections using a high-quality exterior filler before sanding it back to create a clean, solid surface. It was then finished with a durable black anti-slip paint, giving it a fresh new appearance while also providing a safer, hard-wearing surface that will stand up to the elements for years to come.
