Pretty in pink! 🩷
A calm, cosy family space with a little bit of personality.
This room already had a generous extension, but the kitchen had been squeezed into a small, dark corner, leaving the rest of the room feeling a little too open and disconnected.
The solution was to rethink the layout completely.
The kitchen moved into the larger part of the room, creating a much better flow between cooking, eating and family life. At the centre is a generous island — perfect for cooking, chatting, homework, family meals and everything in between.
The dining table offers extra space when friends and family come over, while plenty of storage keeps everything feeling calm and uncluttered.
The old kitchen area has now become a cosy snug for the children, with sofas and a projector ready for family film nights.
Our clients wanted the space to feel timeless and calm, but they weren’t afraid of a little colour.
Soft pink walls work beautifully with the cashere-coloured Wren kitchen, white marble-effect worktops and brass hardware. Hexagonal splashback tiles and herringbone oak flooring bring in plenty of texture and pattern, while the gorgeous pendant shades above the island add the finishing touch.
The result is light, warm, contemporary and full of character – but most importantly, it’s a space that works for family life.
Sometimes, it’s not about making a room bigger. It’s about making better use of the space you already have.
