The extensive re-working of an existing dwelling in Bath has transformed a residential building into an elegant family home. The introduction of large openings within a carefully detailed stone extension has provided views over the surrounding context and a connection to a renewed landscape. A close working relationship with the client has facilitated a significant remodel that involved bespoke kitchen, bathroom and joinery design including the remodelling of an existing staircase to achieve a unique and tastefully composed home.

Reducing embodied carbon within the construction industry is critical along with providing an excellent air tight fabric. Both of these targets are a key focus within our practice and have been addressed at our Danes Lane site where the er****on of a timber frame continues.

This scheme will provide ten new affordable homes for local residents — another great example of our ongoing partnership with Aequus to deliver high-quality, sustainable housing for the community.
