A look back at a project mid-build. 📐

Our team on site carrying out the final measures, making sure every detail was right before manufacture began.

Good joinery starts long before installation — with precision, planning and over 100 years of experience behind every detail.

A new door. The same Hawker standard.

A beautiful transformation, combining timeless Georgian character with the performance and longevity of modern craftsmanship.

Handcrafted in Accoya, finished in Farrow & Ball’s Blue Gray, and complemented by traditional brass ironmongery, every detail has been carefully considered.

With over 100 years of joinery experience behind us, we believe a front door should do more than look beautiful. It should be built to last.

From original to exceptional. (Swipe left for before!)

A like-for-like replacement, but brought up to a completely different standard.

Our brief was simple: retain the character and proportions of the original entrance, while making it more elegant, secure, energy efficient and built to last.

Handcrafted in Accoya timber, with refined detailing, high-performance glazing and upgraded security hardware, this entrance delivers the traditional appearance the property deserves without compromising on modern performance.

The same character. Reimagined by Hawker Joinery.

Made to make an entrance.

A bespoke Hawker front door, handcrafted from Accoya® timber and finished in RAL 6012 Dark Green — a timeless colour chosen to complement the character of the stone façade.

Designed with high-performance double glazing, insulated panels and elegant glazing bars, finished with refined matt black ironmongery and bespoke architraves.

Every detail considered. Every line proportioned. Every door made to last.

The entrance says everything.

A Hawker front door is not simply made to fill an opening. It is designed to become part of the architecture.

Handcrafted timber. Considered proportions. Traditional detailing. Impeccable finishing. Bespoke ironmongery.

Every door is made to order in our workshop, with the level of craftsmanship expected from a name that has been handcrafting exceptional joinery since 1919.

For period properties, country houses and distinguished new homes, a Hawker door is an investment in the first impression — and one designed to last for generations.

From tired and dated to beautifully transformed.

This after & before shows the difference that properly designed, high-quality timber joinery can make. The original windows and doors had seen better days — now replaced with a clean, timeless set of bespoke glazed doors, designed to bring more light, openness and character to the space.

Made properly. Built to last. The Hawker way.

After → Before 🔨

These old blue windows had seen better days — years of filler and repairs had taken their toll, and they were no longer performing as they should. They were difficult to operate, with opening and closing becoming more of a struggle than they should ever be.

We’ve replaced them with beautifully crafted, high-performing timber windows, designed and manufactured to work properly, perform efficiently and, most importantly, be built to last.

A sympathetic upgrade that respects the character of the building while bringing the windows right up to modern standards.

Made properly. Made to last. Made by Hawkers. 🪟

The perfect door starts long before the paint goes on.

Choosing the right joinery company is about more than creating something that looks beautiful. It’s about experience, craftsmanship and getting every detail right.

From selecting the correct timber for the application, to traditional manufacturing techniques, precise detailing, the perfect paint colour and even the positioning of the ironmongery — every decision has an impact on the finished door.

Because when you’re creating a door for your home, it should feel right from every angle.

Designed with purpose. Crafted with experience. Built to last a lifetime.

Never underestimate what a front door can do.

It’s the first welcome home at the end of the day, the first impression for every visitor, and one of the biggest features on the front of your house.

A new door can completely elevate the look, feel, and performance of your home — and this one is a perfect example. 🌿🚪✨
