'Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly' (Langston Hughes)

Watercolour and graphite on Synthetic paper 2026

After a hectic year so far applying for opportunities to exhibit I'm feeling rather burnt out. For me, personally It's such a depleting process, no matter how I frame it.
That being said It has been encouraging and I am very greatfulto have had my work included in 3 exhibitions.

I happily have a piece of work in the Unapologetic exhibition at Bath Artists studios, to celebrate International Women's day.
Thank you to those who helped me choose this piece to submit and to Bath Artists Studios for selecting my work.

Piece 2  'In spirit if not Body'  2025  Indian Ink, Charcoal and Chalk on paper
H-53      W-43     D-2.5cm    £250

This piece is about finding freedom when confined in a body which is uncooperative or experienced as a barrier. Whether that be through health, gender identity or social pressures. Resistance and resilience in female form.

In flight 2024 ink and charcoal

I'm interested to explore how animals connect us to our own humanity, something I've been experiencing a lot recently. Finding a visual language is challenging but full of wonderful possibilities

Beautiful rainy day in my mobile studio yesterday (my car) 😄
I've missed painting the last couple of weeks as I've put my energy into the 'Talking About art' course run by I've learnt so much and gained so much more confidence in my work. Very grateful 🙏
