Another bedroom finished 🎨👌

This time we've gone with Sandberg Alfred striped wallpaper in Willow Green, which looks lovely alongside the green panelling.

A few fiddly bits on this one, especially working around the pipes, windows and corners! 😂 The wallpaper has also been discontinued, so with only five rolls to work with, I had to make every last bit count.

Thankfully, there was just enough to get the room finished, and I'm really pleased with how it's turned out!

🎨 WEEK 3 – STAIRCASE REDECORATION! 🖌️

Week 3 of the Multi room redecoration project completed, and this time we've been tackling the staircase! 💪

Quite a bit of work went into this one, especially getting the walls ready for their new look! 👷‍♂️

🔨 Existing wallpaper stripped
🛠 Walls repaired and made good
🧻 Lining paper hung for a smoother finish
⬜️ Fresh plaster mist coated
📏 With no dado rail in place, the walls were carefully measured and marked out to create the two-tone finish

🎨 Colours used – Farrow & Ball:-
🤍 Wevet – Ceilings & upper walls
💙 Dix Blue – Lower walls
🖌️ Dix Blue Eggshell – Woodwork

Really pleased with how the two colours work together, especially with the matching woodwork. It's made a lovely difference to the staircase! 👌

Phase 2 Completed of the Lean-To Redecoration 🖌

Following the removal of the existing wooden panelling, the newly exposed wall needed some serious attention to bring it up to standard. 🛠

Same process undertaken:-

✔️ Loose & failing coatings thoroughly scraped back
✔️ 2 x fungicidal treatments
✔️ Further scraping & preparation
✔️ Repairs and filling where required
✔️ Stabilising primer applied
✔️ Stubborn staining sealed
✔️ 3 coats of Dulux Weathershield Masonry

Another tired-looking area given a new lease of life, with the preparation done properly to achieve a clean, durable finish!👌

Some colours really don't like making life easy...

Week 2 of this 3-week full redecoration is now complete! 💪

This week's transformation included:
📚 Study
🍽️ Kitchen
🧺 Utility Room

Preparation was fairly minimal throughout, with just a couple of water stains needing to be sealed before decorating. 👌

Finished using:

🤍 Walls & Woodwork – Farrow & Ball 'Wevet'

🤍 Ceiling – White
☀️ Walls & Woodwork – Little Greene 'Sunlight'

🧺 Utility Room
🍆 All surfaces – Farrow & Ball 'Brinjal'

And yes... Brinjal needed FOUR coats to get it up to my standard! 😅

Sometimes that's just what it takes to achieve a rich, even finish. Worth the extra effort in the end! 👌

The first week of Dan's 3-week redecoration is in the books! 💪

I started with the living room, which the customer wanted to become a dark, cosy snug—a complete contrast to the lighter colours throughout the rest of the house. 👌

As always, the finish starts with the preparation...

📄 Wallpaper stripped throughout
🛠️ Plenty of filling and making good to create a smooth finish
🏠 New plaster ceiling mist coated

Finished using:

💙 Benjamin Moore – Tucson Teal Matt on the walls & ceiling
✨ Benjamin Moore – Tucson Teal Eggshell on the woodwork

The deep teal has completely transformed the room, giving it a warm, cosy feel while adding loads of character.

A real statement finish on this one 👌🎨

Freshly prepared and lined walls, finished with this stunning Morris & Co Bird & Pomegranate wallpaper, paired beautifully with the existing green panelling and woodwork.

Plenty of detail involved with the patterned paper, corners, mouldings and fittings — but the finished result really brings the whole room together. 👌

Multisurface Satin Applied 3 times. ⬜️

Customer happy with finish but the Door is still not prefect 😫. Could spend a full day filling trying to get it up to standard!

This one needed a LOT more than just a coat of paint! 😅

Years of failing coatings, heavy mould and staining meant extensive preparation was needed before we could even think about decorating.

The process 👇
✔️ Loose & failing coatings thoroughly scraped back
✔️ 2 x fungicidal treatments
✔️ Further scraping & preparation
✔️ Repairs and filling where required
✔️ Stabilising primer applied
✔️ Stubborn staining sealed
✔️ 3 coats of Dulux Weathershield Masonry
✔️ Doors, windows & downpipe prepared and primed
✔️ Finished with 2 coats of Dulux Diamond Satinwood

A massive difference from where we started — clean, bright and properly prepared for a lasting finish. 👌

Returning in October when the panelling is removed. Same process, Same Results!
