🏡 Rear Property Transformation – Structural Alterations & New Bifold Door Openings 🧱🔨

Our client wanted to completely transform the rear of their property, creating a modern, open-plan feel with new bifold doors to both the lounge and kitchen.

With the bifold doors being supplied and installed by the client’s chosen glazing company, our role was to carry out all the necessary structural alterations, ensuring both openings were fully prepared and ready for installation.

🛠️ The Work Involved:

✅ Temporary Structural Support – We started by carefully installing internal Acrow props to support the existing ceiling joists. Sections of external brickwork were then removed to accommodate additional Acrow props and Strongboy supports, keeping the structure safely supported throughout the works.

✅ Lounge Opening – 4 Metres – We removed the existing window, French doors and all the brickwork beneath to create an impressive 4-metre-wide opening, ready for the new bifold doors.

✅ Kitchen Opening – 2.4 Metres – Further structural alterations were carried out to create a 2.4-metre-wide opening in the kitchen, allowing for a second set of bifold doors.

✅ Structural Steel Installation – Working to the structural engineer’s specifications, we installed the correctly sized steel beams onto suitable padstones, providing the necessary support for the newly formed openings.

✅ Brickwork & Finishing – Once the structural steels were securely installed, we carefully rebuilt the brickwork above the beams, ensuring everything was made good and the new brickwork blended seamlessly with the existing property.

🏡 The Finished Result

Two professionally formed structural openings, measuring 4 metres and 2.4 metres, completed and ready for the client’s glazing company to install their new bifold doors.

These structural alterations will completely transform the rear elevation of the property, allowing significantly more natural light into both rooms and creating a brighter, more spacious and modern living environment.

✨ Stunning Kitchen & Conservatory Renovation Completed ✨

Another fantastic transformation completed, turning the existing kitchen, dining and conservatory spaces into one modern, flowing living area. 🏡

We started by fully stripping out the existing kitchen and removing the flooring throughout. The conservatory floor was then raised and levelled with screed before new electric underfloor heating was installed.

Our electrician carried out all the required electrical alterations throughout, followed by our plasterer skimming the walls and ceilings to provide a fresh finish ready for the new kitchen.

The plumbing also required extensive alterations due to the complete change in layout. The original kitchen area has now become a practical walkway with integrated appliances, leading into the new kitchen and breakfast island area, which then flows seamlessly through to the conservatory.

Once the screed and plasterwork had fully set, we installed the new Wren kitchen, complete with beautiful grey stone-effect worktops featuring subtle gold flecks running through them. The combination adds a real touch of luxury and gives the finished kitchen that extra wow factor. ✨👌

We then installed new LVT flooring running continuously through the former kitchen area, new kitchen and conservatory, helping to tie the whole space together.

New skirting boards were installed throughout before the entire space was fully decorated, leaving everything finished and ready for the clients to move back in and enjoy.

The new layout makes brilliant use of the available space, providing plenty of storage and worktop area while keeping everything looking sleek, modern and uncluttered. The statement worktops, breakfast island and open flow into the conservatory really bring the whole transformation together. 🔥

✨ A very special bathroom transformation… for Mum & Dad! ✨

We’ve recently completed this stunning bathroom for a very special couple — my mum and dad. ❤️

After moving into their new property, they’ve been slowly transforming what was once a dated house into a beautiful, relaxing home. We were lucky enough to be asked to take care of one of the biggest transformations — turning their very dated bathroom into a luxurious new space.

And this was much more than simply fitting a new bathroom!

The original bathroom was completely stripped back to a bare shell, giving us a blank canvas to create the new layout.

We started by removing the existing water cylinder and upgrading the system to a new pressurised cylinder, which was relocated into the loft. Once the pipework had been altered, we lifted the floors, removed the old drainage and installed completely new pipework running out to a new external drain.

With the plumbing and drainage taken care of, we could start rebuilding the room properly. New structural flooring was installed, followed by preparing, dot-and-dabbing and plastering the walls with the help of our trusted local plasterer.

Then came the exciting part… 🤩

Mum and Dad chose three beautiful tile styles to give each area of the bathroom its own character — large-format floor tiles, smaller brick-style tiles around the bath area and a stunning floral patterned feature tile in the shower.

Once the tiling and grouting were complete, we installed the new corner bath and shower, followed by the real statement pieces — a gorgeous raspberry-coloured bathroom suite, including a wall-hung basin and toilet, complemented beautifully by a wall-hung tallboy storage unit.

The finishing touches included a beautiful new oak door and underfloor heating — perfect for those cold mornings. 🔥

It’s always satisfying seeing a complete transformation come together, but this project means that little bit more to us. ❤️

Being able to play a part in transforming Mum and Dad’s new home and creating a bathroom they can relax in and enjoy for many years to come has made this one particularly special.

From an outdated bathroom stripped right back to the bare shell, to a colourful, character-filled and luxurious new space…

What a difference! We transformed this space into a clean, modern kitchen with a much more practical layout and a fantastic finish. ✨

Before installation began, the client stripped out the existing kitchen, with a section of wall removed and the existing doorway into the rear room taken out. These alterations opened up the space and gave us the perfect shape for the new kitchen layout.

Our team then got to work bringing everything together:

✅ Plumbing and electrics altered to suit the new kitchen layout
✅ Walls and ceiling prepared and fully decorated
✅ New kitchen units and integrated appliances installed
✅ Dark worktops and matching full-height splashbacks fitted

✨ Another stunning bathroom completed – with a twist! ✨

Our client designed their dream bathroom with Easy Bathrooms Basingstoke, and we brought their vision to life with a complete professional installation from start to finish. 🛁

The original dated bathroom was completely stripped back to a bare shell, giving us a blank canvas to create the new layout.

With the bath and separate walk-in shower positioned alongside each other, we altered the existing plumbing and installed new waste pipes through the bathroom floor, connecting into the existing drainage at the rear of the property.

⚡ We also completed the electrical alterations for the new illuminated mirror and IP-rated LED spotlights. Once the first-fix work was finished, our plasterer skimmed and smoothed the walls and ceiling ready for the transformation to really take shape.

The new bath and shower tray were then securely installed and thoroughly water-tested before we moved on to the tiling.

🌸 And this is where the twist comes in…

Rather than choosing one tile throughout, our client wanted two contrasting styles to create different zones within the bathroom.

The bath and shower area features a sleek, timeless finish, which transitions beautifully into a striking modern floral-pattern tile around the basin and toilet area – giving the room plenty of character while still tying everything together.

The brass fittings provide the perfect finishing touch. 👌✨

The finished bathroom features:

🚿 Brass rainfall shower
✨ Fluted walk-in shower screen
🌰 Walnut-style vanity unit and basin
