🚧Project update🚧

GRS is currently undertaking a high-skilled window replacement project in Bournemouth for a world-leading financial organisation.

The job involves removing and replacing 16 panels in a curtain wall system on a multi-storey building with modern, energy-efficient glass.

To carry out this complex work safely and precisely at height, we're utilising specialist access equipment and a HIAB crane with vacuum glass lift.

We've also implemented comprehensive safety measures, including road closures and diversions, to protect the public and our team throughout this ongoing project.

These units provide supplemental heating at key entry points while creating an invisible air barrier that blocks cold drafts and boosts energy efficiency. A smart solution for enhancing comfort in high-traffic areas during the colder months! 💡🏢

🚧 Project Update 🚧

To better support large foot traffic in a busy professional environment and improve the overall building access, GRS has installed a new manually operated revolving door at a main entrance plus an upgrade on the two existing doors.

This upgrade isn’t just about convenience—it’s about capacity and resilience. The one new door will accommodate an additional 1,336 people per hour, significantly reducing congestion during peak times and improving the daily flow for tenants, staff, and visitors.

Unlike the existing automated doors, which risk a complete shutdown of the entrance during a mechanical failure, the new manual system adds a critical layer of reliability, safety and redundancy—ensuring uninterrupted access.

These photos showcase our team of IRATA certified, skilled mastic applicators abseiling the exterior of a high-rise building to carry out precision sealing work on leaking windows. This method allows safe and efficient access to challenging areas while ensuring a high-quality finish. Sealing these windows with high-performance sealant helps prevent water ingress, enhance energy sufficiency and extends the building's lifespan.

These photos showcase a recently completed bespoke fabrication project, designed specifically to meet the client’s security requirements. These custom-built planters, located in Canary Wharf, feature custom-made stainless-steel planters integrated with security gates, combining aesthetic appeal with functional protection. Now fully installed the work highlights both functional precision and a clean professional finish in keeping with the surrounding area.
