HOW DO YOU MOVE A HOT TUB? 🤔

It’s a question we’re asked often & when you’re dealing with something that can weigh 100s of kilos and cost thousands of pounds, it’s not a job you want to get wrong!
At South East Hot Tubs, we carry out professional hot tub relocations, removals and swim spa moves across much of the South East of England.

So, how do you move a hot tub safely?
The answer is planning, the right equipment and experience 👍

🔹 First, we assess the access
Every job is different. We look at the route from start to finish, including gates, paths, steps, slopes, grass, gravel, tight spaces and obstacles.
This helps us decide which equipment and method will be safest for both the hot tub and your property.

🔹 Then we choose the right equipment
We have a range of specialist equipment available, including:
🚜 Tracked carrier
Ideal for moving heavy hot tubs and swim spas across challenging ground while helping to minimise damage to lawns and surfaces.
🦾 Van-mounted crane
Our smaller crane gives us the ability to lift and position equipment where access allows us to get close to the job.
🏗️ 1-tonne spider crane
For those more challenging moves, our spider crane can provide the lifting capability needed when a hot tub needs to be lifted over obstacles or into difficult-to-access areas.
🛷 Spa sled
A specialist piece of equipment designed to help us manoeuvre hot tubs safely and under control, particularly where access is restricted.

🔹 Finally, we move it carefully
The hot tub is secured and supported before being moved. We don’t believe in taking unnecessary risks or relying on brute force.

HOW CLEAN DO YOU REALLY THINK YOUR HOT TUB IS? 👀

💦 This is what you CAN’T see…

This hot tub had a pipe flush and look at what came out! 🤢

The water may look clean and clear before a service, but your pipes can be hiding a lot more than you think…

🔹 A hot tub pipe flush helps remove built-up dirt, biofilm and bacteria hiding inside the plumbing system

🔹 Much of this build-up is completely invisible when you’re simply looking at clear water

🔹 Even with regular chemical treatment, your pipework can still accumulate contaminants over time

🔹 When the pipes are flushed, all that hidden build-up can be released into the water which is why you may see cloudy, dirty or even unpleasant-looking water afterwards

🔹 And this is exactly why cleaning the shell and changing the water isn’t enough. An annual service is recommended to help

🫧 WHEN WAS YOUR HOT TUB LAST PROPERLY SERVICED?

HOT TUB DISPOSAL 🏗️

A customer contacted us about our hot tub disposal service as they had a very old hot tub which was beyond repair. The shell was damaged and causing leaks so the hot tub couldnt be used. Even if the shell wasnt damaged, to replace the parts to get the tub up and running again would have been at least £2000 and with the age of the tub, it just wasnt worth it.

We were able to get the hot tub out whole but because of the damage to the shell, the tub needed to be disposed of as it was beyond repair. So we were able to get this video! ⬆️⬆️

You may think a hot tub disposal can be a costly thing to get arranged if your hot tub was originally craned in. But if the time comes and you decide you want your hot tub removed, you won’t need to book another crane, saving you £100’s. We have the tools to cut the hot tub up so we can remove it in pieces.

KEEP YOUR HOT TUB READY FOR EVERY SOAK! 💦

With regular servicing, your hot tub will be working at its best for longer! A hot tub service is only recommended once a year so from £299, you can keep your hot tub at its best. And as you would have potentially spent £1000s buying your hot tub, a small fee once a year is well worth looking after your investment.

A full hot tub service includes ⬇️
💧a flush treatment which will clean out the pipes and get rid of all of the hidden nasties
💧a deep clean of the hot tub shell including the jets
💧a clean of your hot tub lid
💧a check of the hot tub components to ensure everything is working as it should
💧a clean of the outer hot tub
💧a clean of your hot tub filter
💧we can also offer advice on water care and chemicals if needed

We also offer a hot tub refresh option which is perfect if you dont fancy changing your hot tub water every 3-4 months yourself 👍

HOW WE CAN SAVE YOU £100s ON YOUR HOT TUB DISPOSAL COSTS!! 💰💰

If access isnt wide enough to get the tub out at your property, you might think a crane is the only way to remove your hot tub…
Well it isn’t 👍
We can cut your hot tub up into pieces and remove it all this way, so regardless of your access, we can take away your tub without needing to use a crane. By cutting the hot tub up, we can take the hot tub pieces through the house, down a narrow alleyway or up and down steps!
You might also be worried about the mess, and think a crane will be less hassle - we leave the area clean and tidy, so much so, you wouldn’t have thought a hot tub had been cut up there!

So if you have a hot tub that doesnt work anymore, isnt worth the repairs costs, or your tub is just no longer wanted as its costing to much to run or never getting used, get in touch with us and see how we can help!
