Is the UK heatwave making your alarm act up? ☀️

During these hot summer days, standard PIR (Passive Infrared) sensors can struggle. They work by detecting changes in heat, so when the room temperature climbs or the humidity spikes, your system might get confused and trigger a false alarm. There is nothing worse than a siren going off for no reason in the middle of a warm night!

That is where Dual Tech sensors come in.

By combining PIR with Microwave technology, the system only triggers if both sensors detect movement. It is the smarter, more reliable choice for keeping your home or business secure without the headache of false alerts.

With 38 years of experience protecting the community, we know exactly what it takes to keep systems running smoothly in all weather.

Ever heard of an "Elephant Catcher" in the security industry? 🐘

This one was spotted during a service visit today!

Despite the name, it's nothing to do with safaris. In the intruder alarm industry, 'Elephant Catcher' is the nickname for a heavy-duty, high-performance motion detector. Designed to provide maximum coverage, these robust sensors were commonly installed in large commercial premises and other high-security environments.

Like any security equipment, even the most reliable technology needs regular servicing to ensure it continues to perform when it matters most. Routine maintenance helps identify potential issues before they become problems, keeping your security system operating at its best and your property fully protected.

Protecting Homes & Businesses Since 1988 - with 38 years of experience, our family-run team provides NSI Gold Standard security across the Home Counties and London.

Moving home or office? Don't forget your security! 🔑🏠

You’ve got the keys to your new home or business premises, the boxes are stacked, and the kettle is on... but what about your existing intruder alarm?

One of the most overlooked risks when moving home or business premises is that previous users may still have access to your security system, from old user codes and fobs to mobile app logins.

That’s where an Alarm Takeover becomes essential. At C**t Security Systems, we don’t just “reset” your alarm, we fully re-commission it. That means:

• Removing all previous user access
• Full servicing of the system
• Reconfiguring it to your requirements
• Updating monitoring and emergency contacts

With 38 years of experience in the industry, we know how to keep your new property secure from day one. See our latest blog:
