Towards the end of May I returned to a customer having previously decorated her Living Room. This time around it was two bedrooms and the hall, stairs & landing (HSL).

All three areas needed paper removing from some walls and the HSL had a ‘nice’ surprise; two layers of paper!

All ceilings, walls and woodwork were painted; one wall in each of the bedrooms papered with a feature paper and a little bonus, curtain rails mounted too.

All Ceilings: Tikkurila Optiva 5 - matt White.
All woodwork: Helmi (30) - white satin.

Main Bedroom:

Feature paper: Statement Feature wallpapers ‘Curiosity’ Green pattern no. 49269.
Second Bedroom:

HSL:
Walls: Tikkurila Optiva 5 - ‘Angelica F452’

The customer had only been in the property for a relatively short time and the previous, dark, décor, was not her choosing; she was very pleased with the newer, lighter, fresher look. As I’ve said before, it’s good to help make people happy. 😊

New customer in Desford wanting her Hall, Stairs and Landing decorating.

Ceiling, walls and woodwork painted too.

Walls: Tikkurila Optiva 5 - Farrow & Ball - 'Skimming Stone'
Walls at the top and bottom of the stairs: Tikkurila Optiva 5 - Black.

Bannisters: Helmi (30) - Black.
Remaining woodwork (Doors, doorframes, skirting boards etc.): Helmi (30) - White:

The result was quite a contrasting change and my customer told me that she ‘I am very much in love with my new hall stairs and landing.’ Nice to make people happy. 😊

Mar ‘26 - Earl Shilton

Another new customer and this time a very good friend of the family, had asked me to decorate her Living Room and spare Bedroom.

The Living Room needed the existing anaglypta removing, that was fun! Then all walls were lined with grade 2000 lining paper and painted.
Ceiling and woodwork painted too.

The bedroom was a little more straightforward, just ceiling, walls and woodwork painted.

Feb ‘26 - Ratby

First room of a number of areas to be decorated for a new customer in Ratby.

First off was her Living Room. Existing paper removed from two walls; chimney breast wall papered with a feature paper, opposite wall lined with 2000 grade lining paper and then painted, together with the two end walls.

Room went from looking a little dour and tired to bright and fresh. The wallpaper was good to work with and I love the effect it’s had on the room.

Jan & Feb ‘26 - Newbold Verdon

After taking some time off over Christmas it was back to work in the middle of January to work for a new customer, and another one, in Newbold Verdon.

They were looking for their Sitting Room, Dining Area and Hall, Stairs and Landing to be decorated; ceilings, walls and woodwork, which included a pretty high skylight, leaving just enough room for me to squeeze up the ladder to get to. Hopefully the pic I've added will give you an idea of the limited space I had; and before you say anything, yes, I do get paint on the walls as well as my clothes! 😅

The lighter colours are not dissimilar to the old paints, hopefully, you’ll be able to see the improvement which led to happy customers. 😊

Nov ‘25 - Nailstone

Another lovely couple of returning customers, this time in Nailstone. On this occasion it was a bit of a make-over for their bathroom.

Ceiling, walls, wood panelling and door frame all prepped and painted.

The choice of the colour for the wood panelling was quite a contrast from the previous one. Pretty striking and I think it really works. What do you think?
