📱 We've been a little quiet on here lately... but there's a very good reason! 😂

The last couple of weeks have been BUSY BUSY BUSY behind the scenes! 🔨💪

We've been out and about:
🏡 Building fences
🪵 Laying new flooring
🎄 And somehow finding time to organise a Christmas Artisan Market for Pendle Powerfest!

So, although our social media has been a little quiet, we definitely haven't been! We're still here, still working away and keeping ourselves busy. 😅

However... Mr Michael Waddington has decided it's time to put the tools down for a couple of days and has whisked Sarah away for the weekend to the Cotswolds. ❤️

Well... we suppose even Waddy deserves a little break! 😉

Don't worry though, we'll be back to our usual busy selves very soon!

This one is a smart 6ft picket fence, complete with a matching gate and capping along the top to give it that neat, finished look. 👌

💙 Meet the Team Monday – The Final One! 💙

And finally... it's ME! 👋

Hello, I'm Charlotte, the one behind all the social media posts! 📱

I'll be honest, it's SO much easier writing about everyone else. When it comes to writing about myself, I've suddenly got absolutely nothing to say! 😂

I took over the social media side of things after Mick apparently decided he'd had enough of me correcting him! 🤣

Being a teaching assistant, I couldn't help myself... spelling, punctuation, tenses, missing commas – you name it, I was there correcting it! ✏️😂

Eventually, I think Mick had enough and basically said:

"Do it yourself then!"
..and here I am! 😂

So, while the rest of the team are out making gardens beautiful, building fences and generally getting their hands dirty, I'm behind the scenes making sure everyone knows what we're up to!

A few random facts about me...

🕷️ Biggest fears: Spiders AND small spaces.

So, if I ever get stuck in a lift with a spider... that's it. Game over. 😂

🚶‍♀️ Always take the stairs, people!

🍕 Favourite food: Pizza. Always pizza. There is no other answer.

🧡 Favourite drink: Tango Orange.

🍂 Best time of year: Autumn. Give me crisp mornings, cosy evenings and all the autumn vibes!

👂 Pet hate: People chewing their food loudly.
Honestly... I can hear EVERYTHING. 😂

🏡 Another Fence Transformation by Team M&J! 🏡

They just keep shooting these fences up!

Here's one of our latest fencing jobs – a smart 6ft 6" picket board fence giving this property some extra privacy, security and a fresh new look! 🔨✨

♻️ Reuse where we can!
The existing gate frame was only a couple of years old, so rather than replacing something that was still perfectly good, we reused the existing frame as part of the new work.

We also reused the small side fence, which we had originally built ourselves a few years ago and was still in great condition.

We always aim to make the most of what's already there where possible – saving perfectly usable materials from going to waste while still giving the customer the finished look they wanted. 💚

It's time to introduce another fantastic member of Team M&J... say hello to Sophie! 👋

Sophie works with us part-time while she builds up her own business – and she's certainly a busy lady!

Not only does she help us with gardening, she also offers pet sitting and cleaning. 🏡🌿🐾 ( Holgate’s Home, Garden & Animal Care )

Just imagine this...

You head off to work on a Monday morning (and let's be honest... who actually likes Mondays? 😂). While you're out, Sophie transforms your garden, gives your house a top-to-bottom clean, and takes care of your pets too.

You come home to a tidy garden, a sparkling house, and happy pets already looked after.

Now that sounds like my idea of heaven! 😍

Quick get to know Sophie...

🐶 Pets: A dog, a bearded dragon, a tortoise, a chameleon, and three Giant African snails... (that's it... for now! 😂)

🤸 Random fact: She could do a cartwheel when she was 10... she hasn't attempted one since, and we're not volunteering to witness the next try! 🤣

🥛 Favourite beverage: Milk.

📺 Favourite TV show: Mr Bean.

🥚 Favourite protein: Eggs.

Whether she's making gardens look amazing, homes sparkle, or making sure your pets are happy, Sophie is another brilliant member of the M&J family.

💙 Meet the Team Monday! 💙

It's time for another member of the M&J family!

This week, we'd like you to meet Abbie. 😊

Abbie is Mick and Sarah's daughter and Jake's sister, making her another important part of our family-run business.

Although she works full-time, she still finds time to help Jake out whenever she can. Whether it's tackling a big garden transformation or lending an extra pair of hands, she always helps make the biggest jobs seem that little bit smaller. 💪🌿

Quick get to know Abbie...

🍪 Favourite biscuit: Custard Creams! (Bonus points if they're the Asda ones.) Pair them with a strong tea and two sugars, and she'll probably be your best friend forever! 😂☕

🐝 Greatest fear: Wasps... and who can blame her?!

🥋 Very skilled at: Kung Fu! Although we're still not sure if that's genuine skill or just how she waves her arms around when a wasp flies past! 🤣

🥤 Favourite drink: Mountain Dew.

🐾 Fun fact: Abbie is also studying at college to become a veterinary nurse. We couldn't be prouder of her—go Abbie! 👏💚
