Will ā€˜the one’ šŸŽ„ be hiding in our plantation… or waiting for you in the yard this year..........?

Quite a few of you have already asked when booking opens for our October VIP Weekend, so it’s time to let you in on our plans for Christmas 2026.

This year, we’re doing our early tree choosing a little differently.

There won’t be one VIP appointment weekend. Instead, we’re opening the plantation for **two Early Bird Weekends** in November—and everybody is welcome. No appointments, no booking list. Just turn up, grab a measuring pole and go tree hunting! šŸŽ„

šŸŽ Our Christmas Gift Cabin opens on **Saturday 31st October**.

šŸŽ„ Our **Early Bird Plantation Weekends** will be:

**Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th November**
10am-3pm

and

**Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th November**
10am-3pm

Our classic ā€œchoose and tag your tree with your nameā€ experience isn’t changing. Pull on your wellies, head out into the fresh air and wander through the plantation with your measuring pole until you find the tree that was quite clearly growing there just for you.

✨ **But there is something brand new for 2026…** ✨

For the first time ever, we’ll also have a lovely selection of **freshly cut Christmas trees waiting in the yard**.

So, if going into the plantation isn’t for you, you can choose your favourite from the yard, we’ll net it and you can take it home. Two different ways to find your tree—the choice is yours.

The freshly cut trees and Gift Cabin will be open during the weekdays between our two Early Bird Weekends, even though the plantation itself will be closed.

Our main Christmas-tree season then runs from **Saturday 21st November until Friday 18th December 10am-3pm**

The plantation will be open throughout that period apart from Thursdays, when it will belong to our Tails in the Trees dogs. The freshly cut trees in the yard and our Gift Cabin will still be open on Thursdays.

āœ‚ļø **Florists, wreath makers and crafty people—we haven’t forgotten you!**
Our wonderfully wonky trees will be available again. We absolutely love seeing what you manage to create from the trees that nobody else quite knows what to do with! šŸ˜‚

We’ll also be offering a limited local delivery service, with final deliveries taking place on **Thursday 10th December**.

Our delivery area will be smaller than it was last year, so please check the attached information and keep an eye on our page for the full delivery arrangements nearer the time.

Our trees are incredibly fresh. Keep yours well watered and away from direct heat, and it should still be looking lovely well into the New Year. šŸŽ„

And don’t worry—Head Elf and a few of his friends are back to help us out. You’ll still find him and plenty of the usual festive nonsense around here! šŸ˜‚

So, which sounds most like you?

🄾 **Measuring pole in hand and off into the plantation**

Wait........Yes here it is.......your eyes aren't playing tricks on you!

This is Cheryl Andrew s REAL Christmas tree… still standing proud… and now fully dressed for Easter šŸ˜‚šŸ’›

Because like we always say - why should the magic stop in December…
when a good tree is clearly a good bet for Easter Eggs?

Twinkly lights āœ”ļø
Colourful eggs āœ”ļø

So go on then… be honest…

šŸ‘‰ Who else has got a Christmas tree still be standing right now?

Drop a comment below and tell us…and bonus points if you’ve decoroated it!

Thanks Cheryl for sharing we loved seeing this! šŸ˜€

Hang on a minute… it’s March now.

Christmas was over two months ago.
So what am I seeing here? šŸ‘€šŸŒ²

Just two of our trees… still standing tall and gloriously green in their new homes this weekend.

One soaking up spring sunshine on the lawn.
One twinkling away by the patio like it’s politely refusing to accept that Christmas is over.

Thank you to Denise and Cheryl for sending them to me.

And honestly? I’m now just waiting to see them decorated with Easter eggs. 🐣

Seeing photos like these on the 1st of March makes all those muddy boots, cold mornings and 44 weeks of planning completely worth it.

Because a properly grown Christmas tree shouldn’t be a three-week wonder.

šŸ‘‰ Has anyone else still got theirs up?
šŸ‘‰ Or am I about to launch the UK’s first ā€œEaster Treeā€ trend? šŸ˜‚

If yours is still going strong, pop a photo in the comments — I love seeing them living their best life beyond December. šŸŒ²šŸ’š

🌲 Something new is growing here…..... and it started with a dog. 🐾

Many of you know our Christmas tree field well.
You’ve walked it. Laughed in it. Made memories here. No one could accuse us of not loving our work and having fun!

But over the years, the land has been quietly changing — and so have we.

What started as an idea has turned into something deeply personal.
Something slower. Kinder. More intentional.

We’ve just shared the first post over on our new page Tails in the Trees — and it tells the story of why this next chapter matters to us.

If you’d like to come along on the journey, the story is there to read šŸ’š

Something exciting is happening here ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦šŸŒ²šŸ˜Š
But what is it…?

We’re excited to share that Tails in the Trees Dog Park 🐾 will be opening this spring, right here at Andy Broom’s Christmas Trees in Barrow upon Humber.

Just before Christmas, we were granted full planning permission for ā€œdual useā€ of our Christmas tree field — meaning that outside the Christmas season, it will also operate as a secure, enclosed dog exercise park, including a dedicated off-lead exercise ring.

This has been almost a year in the making.
Carefully planned. Properly approved.
All the red tape is done āœ”ļø

What we’re working on now is the practical (and exciting) bit:
• installing a securely fenced grass area for safe off-lead exercise, with some agility equipment
• opening up the rest of the field as an enclosed space, with wide grass paths around the trees and woodland-style trails to explore on lead if you wish
• planting longer wild-grass and wildflower areas for extra sniffing and enrichment

At Tails in the Trees — whether on two legs or four — it’s all about what we’ve always believed in here:
🌲 space to walk or run free in a safe environment
šŸ• fresh air, no pressure, no judgement
ā¤ļø lovely memories being made

It will be a managed, pre-booked space, with a maximum of 4 dogs per booking, designed for everyone — including:
šŸ• puppies and young dogs
🐾 nervous or reactive dogs
🐶 anyone who simply wants a peaceful, secure walk in a beautiful setting

We’ll also be partnering with an experienced dog trainer and a veterinary practice to share optional tips, ideas and gentle guidance — all in one place via the Tails in the Trees website & page, alongside updates, progress and future bookings.

Nothing overwhelming. Nothing judgemental. Just support if you want it.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing progress as fencing goes in and the field begins to transform — and we’ll also share a few of our own stories along the way, about how this idea came about and why creating a safe, happy space for our four-legged family members matters so much to us.

And just to be clear — Christmas trees will still be here at Christmas 🌲

This simply gives the field a new purpose for the rest of the year.
More soon… we hope you’ll enjoy following the journey šŸŽ„šŸ¾

✨ When does a Tree Becomes More Than Just a Tree….. ?🌲

Something utterly heart-melting happened today at Goxhill Pre-school…
Their Christmas tree — the one Lyndsey & Nicola chose through snow, wind and pure magic with the christmas tree glasses — is now standing proudly in its new home.

And honestly?
It looks perfect.

ā€œElsa Lights,ā€ named by little Betsy, are twinkling like they’re casting tiny spells across the room…
ā€œTwinkle Twinkle the Angel,ā€ named by Maisie, is perched at the top like she owns the place…
And the children?
They are in love. Proper, wide-eyed, festive wonder love.

Seeing them on these photos nd hearing about this stops us in our tracks.

Because Christmas trees do something special in places like this.
They don’t just decorate a room —
they lift spirits,
hold memories,
and give little hearts something to gather around.

Lyndsey, Nicola and the whole amazing team at Goxhill Pre-School give their children magic every single day — not just at Christmas — and being part of that, even in the tiniest way, is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Great job! Goxhill Pre-school. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year! šŸŽ„ā¤ļø

✨ The Mystery of the Invisible Christmas Photos… šŸ‘€šŸŽ„ ✨

We wanted to mention about something we feel like we're missing out on…..

Some of you are tagging us in your gorgeous photos as shown here šŸ˜€........

However some of you are also tagging your visits, your decorated trees, your kids yelling ā€œSanta, send the Elf!ā€ on the walkie-talkie — but sadly we can’t see them or comment on them.

Not because we’re ignoring you.
Not because Skip the Elf is pressing random buttons again.
But because your posts are set to Friends Only, which means they disappear into the Facebook mist for anyone outside your friends list… including us. 😭

Here’s how to make sure your festive masterpieces actually reach our eyeballs:

🌲 Posting on your own timeline?
Before you hit ā€œPost,ā€ check the little audience icon (looks like a globe or two heads).
šŸ‘‰ Set just that post to Public.
Then tag Andy Broom’s Christmas Trees, Decor & Gifts Galore as normal.

🌟 If you prefer to keep your timeline private?
No problem — just pop your photos straight into the comments on our posts and we’ll see them instantly.

šŸ“ø We love seeing:

Your decorated trees

Your muddy-boot choosing adventures

Santa selfies

Pets who are 100% planning to climb the tree

Hot chocolate, chaos, carols — all of it

Now… BONUS TIP FOR POSTS YOU’VE ALREADY MADE:
If you’ve shared photos recently and tagged us but we still can’t see them, here’s how to fix it:

1ļøāƒ£ Go to the post on your timeline
2ļøāƒ£ Tap the three dots in the top right corner
3ļøāƒ£ Tap Edit audience
4ļøāƒ£ Change it to Public
5ļøāƒ£ Save
6ļøāƒ£ Ta-da! Your photos are now visible to us and we’ll be able to see (and probably squeal over) them šŸŽ„āœØ

Thanks everyone, cant wait to see all your pics šŸŽ„

✨ You Won’t Believe What Just Happened… ✨
(And no, Santa hasn’t nicked all the trees… though it looks like it!)

Well… we’ve done it.
Our delivery slots are now completely, utterly, joyfully FULL — every single one!

BUT......You’ve still got brilliant options:

🌲 1. Tag Your Tree & Collect Later
Wander into our magical 6-acre fir forest, grab your measuring pole and walkie-talkie, choose ā€œthe one,ā€ and we’ll tag it safely with your name.
Come back to collect it when you’re ready — no rush, no stress.

🌲 2. Take One Home on the day
If your car seats fold down (and honestly… most 6–7ft trees fit just fine), you can pick your tree and take it with you straight away.
Instant Christmas. Zero waiting.

This is the moment the season really starts to sparkle — and we’d love to see you this week.
