Newly completed bathroom we have just finished for a customer on God's green acre (Walney) 😉🫡

Full removal of existing suite, and installed this matte finish panelling, toilet, sink with vanity unit, mirror, shower screen, shower flooring, and Anthracite towel radiator, all from MKM in barrow.

Electrics carried out by Lee Bircher LB Electrical Cumbria Ltd

Currently taking bookings for bathrooms from March 2027 onwards. What a year it has been so far 😊

This job still throws up some unwanted surprises, and this one is no exception.

A customer reported they could smell buring coming from around the gas fire when it was on.

So we decided to investigate and remove the gas fire to inspect it.

What we uncovered was potentially a threat to life and property if the fire was to be continued being used.

The previous installer had no used the correct fire rated materials, and also used wood! To bridge the gap between the mantelpiece and chimney. This caused a fire to start inside the fireplace.

This is very dangerous, and luckily the customer stopped using the gas fire until we could carry out the inspection.

The installation has now been left safe, and the gas fire is no longer connected to the supply.

This once again highlights the importance of having your gas appliances checked.

Merry Christmas everyone,

That's me all finsihed now for Christmas. The phone is going off, and for the first time in 10 years of being self employed, I'm actually not working over Christmas.

I wasn't expecting to be buying a house this year, yet alone another incredible year for the business. So a long rest is on the cards.

I wish everyone all the very best for Christams and new year, and hope the big man brings you all nice presents 🎁
