We’ve been busy this week converting a temporary utility room, built during an extension. Into a new shower room and larger utility. Work is well underway. One thing that surprises us on these jobs is how much rubbish people leave under floors when building! 🥴
You won’t find that when we’re undertaking the work!

A kitchen we built a few years ago, now really settling in that the outside steps have been done. We love how you can see the stonework outside as you’re stood in the modern kitchen. It reminds you it’s still a Cottage. We have more happening here soon. We’ll keep you updated!

National Trust Hidcote paving being laid here for HCL Construction Limited.
These slabs are beasts! 60mm thick in places. Huge appreciation for my Lads helping us get this lot down! Just jointing to go now 💪🏼😁

Slate steps and copings being cut in here. Will be pencil edged next. We are paving this area out in Hidcote Flagstones. So keep an eye out for a progress update! 😁

A new window in on this Dormer. Fascia’s being replaced. Western Red Cedar will be the cladding this time.

Here we have removed an old Rayburn chimney. We’re getting ready to re roof the house entirely. But this needed doing beforehand and making good again in the interim.

The brainteaser on this one was a falling wall plate. Widening roof span, and a chimney that was twisted to all of those angles too! Resulting in us having to slate over the old chimney at one angle. Incorporate the course of slate which widened with the spreading wall plate. Then alter the verge detail. As this had an old pvc capping strip hiding rotten battens and half ladder.

This will keep the water out until the re roof!

We also have some Western Red Cedar going on the dormer whilst we have the tower scaffold to hand! 😁

Harv and Tom busy on a brick paved area to connect these steps to this driveway. 👌🏼

A nice little reinforced pad going in today for a generator. Concrete needs patience to achieve a good finish. We poured at 7am. Then after bull floating we were able to get on the brush at about 12 noon. All edged up now. In a few days ready for the installation of the generator!
