This ash tree had to come down due to ash die back, due to this a huge limb had failed, luckily no one was injured, all the timber was left behind for the customer to process for firewood.

Around a third to half way through the pollard. The damaged limbs have been removed to a healthy pollard point.

Pollarding looks dramatic and can only be done to certain species of trees, willow being one. It was well over due a haircut.
