When another contractor let the client down, we were asked to step in at short notice for a time-sensitive job in Birmingham.

Our Sunday team pulled together to safely and skilfully remove a birch that had been allowed to grow far too close to the property and had become a real nuisance.

Job completed, site left clean and tidy, and another happy client. Just another day’s work for Elite Environmental Works.

🌳 Another successful project completed by Elite Environmental Works! 🌳

Recently, we carried out a reduction on a mature birch tree and removed a cherry tree that had outgrown its space and was beginning to impact a neighbouring property. We also removed 11 conifer stumps to clear the area, making way for a brand-new garden office.

It’s always great to help our customers make the most of their outdoor space while keeping trees and gardens safe, practical, and looking their best.

If you’re considering tree work, stump removal, or a garden transformation, feel free to get in touch for friendly, professional advice.

This time of year is ideal for light pruning fruit trees. Removing dead, crossing and congested growth helps improve airflow and light pe*******on, encourages healthy growth, and sets the tree up nicely for the coming season.

A gentle tidy is key — over-pruning can stress the tree and reduce fruiting, so it’s all about the right balance and correct timing.

Thanks to our customer for choosing Elite Environmental Works to carry out the work. If you’re thinking about any tree or hedge work, now is a great time to get it done as nesting bird season is fast approaching.

📩 Send us a message or give us a call — we’re always happy to help.

This sympathetic tree reduction was carried out to let more natural light back into the garden. Even minor reductions can add those extra hours of sunshine in summer, all while keeping the tree healthy and looking great.

We completed this work ahead of nesting bird season, which soon limits what tree work can be carried out. Perfect timing means the customer can now sit back and (hopefully 🤞) enjoy a proper British summer.

If you’re thinking about letting more light into your garden, now is the time. Get in touch before nesting season arrives and puts plans on hold.

These trees may start off neat and manageable, but left to their own devices they can quickly grow out of control.

In this case, removing them has saved the customer the ongoing maintenance headache and opened up much more light and space on their driveway.

As much as we love trees, we understand that for some people they can become a cost and a concern rather than a benefit. If you’re in a similar situation, why not give us a call or drop us a message?

We’re always happy to come and take a look and advise on the best option to suit your needs.

🌳🍂 Why now is a great time to get your trees and shrubs sorted — before nesting season kicks in! 🍂🌳

As we head toward the end of autumn and into early winter, conditions are ideal to carry out tree and shrub work — and here’s why it makes sense to act now.
• Trees are dormant and stress-free. Without leaves, we can clearly see the tree’s structure and pinpoint dead, damaged or diseased limbs. That makes pruning, shaping and risk removal far easier and more precise.
• Lower risk of disease or pests. Many pests and fungal diseases lie dormant over winter, so pruning & trimming now reduces the chance of fresh wounds becoming infection spots.
• Better healing and stronger spring growth. Cuts made during dormancy allow trees to heal naturally — then, when spring arrives, the tree can put its energy into healthy new growth, not repairing damage.
• Avoid disruption to wildlife. The main bird-nesting season in the UK runs from about March to August. Once nesting begins, felling, pruning or hedge-trimming may be illegal or cause major delays.

⚠️ Why letting problematic trees linger can be risky
Dead or cracked limbs, signs of disease, or a leaning tree can all pose a serious hazard — especially over winter storms, heavy winds or snow. Ignoring these issues can lead to fallen branches, damage to property (or people), and more costly emergency work later.

✅ What you should consider doing now:
• If you spot dead branches, fungal growth, large cracks or leaning trees, get them checked now.
• If you want crown reductions, hedge trimming, shaping or structural pruning, now’s the optimal time.
• We’ll always check for wildlife before work — and carry out work only when safe and legal.
