I love helping people get their gardens looking cheerful again, especially when jobs have become a bit too much to tackle alone.

There’s something about drawing on a chalkboard that I just LOVE. 🌱✏️

I’ve been getting creative at the nursery with a few hand-drawn signs for the spring bulbs — and it’s made me ridiculously excited for spring already! 🌷

Roll on spring… I’m ready for the bulbs! 🌸

Not working in 30-degree satan’s-armpit heat?
❌ No sunburn
❌ No melting
❌ No watering myself between gardens
❌ No feeling like a shrivelled up courgette that’s accidentally died and gone to compost heaven 🙏

Sorry sun worshippers. I’ll be over here absolutely thriving. 😂

I wasn’t quite prepared for how moving this would be. 🌿

I’d seen Gaia at RHS Chelsea Flower Show earlier this year, where Sarah Eberle’s On the Edge garden won Best in Show and Garden of the Year 2026, but seeing her here at Park Hill in Sheffield felt completely different.

I honestly just wanted to lie down beside her and take it all in. The craftsmanship and talent behind this piece completely blew me away — the carving, the sculpting and the way every element has been brought together.

And then you get up close and realise that what initially looks almost like sculpted steel hair is actually intricately woven willow, branches and hedgerow. The detail is incredible. 🤎

Afterwards, I wandered around Sheffield Botanical Gardens, taking in the beautiful planting, the movement of the trees and that lovely feeling of slowing down and simply being surrounded by nature.

A little reminder that gardens can be so much more than plants. They can make you feel something. 🌱✨

Sometimes the best way to find fresh inspiration is to put the gardening gloves down for a while. 🌿💚

A peaceful wander around Sledmere House, soaking up beautiful planting, quiet corners, and ideas for the garden. Sometimes slowing down is just as important as getting jobs done.

Spicing up the local plant nursery one chalkboard at a time! 🌶️✨

Chilli plant season is officially here! These little firecrackers are incredibly easy to grow, packed with flavor, and look stunning whether they’re in pots outside or in.

Before ➡️ After 🌿

Years of well-rooted weeds and ivy cleared away to give this driveway a fresh start and make room for new planting. A lot of hard work, but the transformation is worth it!

Even plant lovers have some peeves! I don’t have many my but these are a few:

🌸 Red Campion on a wet day.
Not because it minds getting wet—but because when it does, it can develop a rather distinctive aroma. Let’s just say it won’t be replacing your favourite perfume anytime soon. Fortunately, the pollinators don’t seem to mind, and it still turns up looking fabulous.

🌿 Falopia (Russian vine). Zero respect for boundaries.
Give it a fence, a wall, a shed, or five minutes unattended and it’s already planning a takeover. The phrase “personal space” means nothing to this botanical thug. PLANT WITH CAUTION to avoid daily pruning!

🪴 Fiddle Leaf Fig:
Too much water? Sulks. Too little water? Sulks. Moved it six inches to the left? Absolute outrage. It’s less a houseplant and more a highly paid diva with a very specific rider! (I learned this the hard way) Never again! 🤦‍♀️

What are your plant peeves? Let me know in the comments ⬇️

So many garden shade options ca be bland and blocky.

Dreaming up ideas today for a secluded chilled out sun shelter with a bit of style and plenty of greeery 💚 🌱 ✨ 🫶

How I’d adapt the below design:

🐛 A layer of sheer fabric on the inside so you don’t get any extra protein in your morning cuppa

🌺 Perennial and annual sweet peas to give colour and scent.
