The scaffolding is now down, revealing the clean modern lines of the striking overhanging first floor . The contrasting palette of steel corrugate, locally sourced granite, and timber cladding creates a bold yet contextual architectural statement.

Meanwhile, landscaping works are underway, with timber sleepers beginning to form the raised terraced borders that will help shape this sloping site and connect the house seamlessly to its surroundings.

We're looking forward to sharing further progress as this new-build home continues to take shape.

Great to see our Haughhead project starting to take shape. The corrugated roof and cladding are now progressing well, and we’re looking forward to the next few weeks as the build moves into its next phase.

This is a landmark stage in every client’s new build journey. From a stripped-back, empty site to the first foundations being laid, it is the moment where a project truly begins to take shape and a vision starts becoming reality.

At Fiddes Architects, we always find this stage especially rewarding to see on site.

Our Knockhill project is progressing well, with foundations now underway and the build moving confidently into its next phase.

The scaffolding is now down at our Oldfold project. The timber cladding looks incredible against the sharp, industrial lines of the corrugate especially under this perfectly clear blue sky. We are looking forward to the next phase of this build as it reaches its completion.

Our Kinloch House project as it nears completion, with just the final external landscaping to be finished.

The extension to the existing kitchen continues the cottage aesthetic while introducing a number of contemporary touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and fresh. Kitchen design by Drumoak Kitchens.

A highlight of the project is the glass gable vaulted snug, complete with a woodburning stove supplied by Donside Heating. This is a bright yet cosy retreat within the home.

Finished throughout with timber Amtico flooring, bringing warmth and cohesion across the spaces.
