No turbulence here, just smooth project delivery at Dyce. 🚁 🔨

We were proud to be called in as part of ongoing renovations across our client’s facilities, beginning with the complete upgrade of two commercial kitchens and one staff kitchen/break room — all finished to a consistent, high-end specification.

This project was fully project managed both on-site and through design team meetings, ensuring seamless delivery from start to finish.
We worked closely with facilities management, adhered to strict budgets, and completed on schedule, with a strong focus on health and safety at every stage.

Operating in a live, busy environment, we coordinated closely with client staff to minimise disruption while delivering our usual high standards.

The works carried out in the commercial kitchens included a full strip-out back to the original stone walls, followed by a reconfiguration of the layout through new partitioning to improve the flow and usability of the space. We reframed the entire area to suit the new design and installed a completely new electrical system, complete with upgraded lighting and integrated fire suppression systems. High-powered extraction systems were fitted over the cooking areas, alongside a full plumbing installation with high-temperature waste management.
We supplied and installed top-of-the-range stainless steel units and premium cooking appliances, screeded the floors, and laid a new commercial-grade safety flooring system for durability and compliance. The kitchen interiors were lined with hygiene-grade wall boarding and finished with coved flooring details to ensure easy cleaning and long-term performance.
Externally, we supplied and installed acoustic panelling to the frontage areas to improve the overall environment and create enhanced areas for staff and sales.

Every material, trade, and finish was supplied, managed, and delivered by our team, ensuring the project not only met the client’s expectations but raised the standard for the ongoing renovation programme.

Breathing new life into old walls and doing it properly. 🏚️🔨

When it comes to extensive renovations, choosing the right team is everything — and we’re proud that our clients put their trust in us for the full restoration of this stunning listed schoolhouse in Aberdeenshire.

From the outset, we worked closely with our trusted architects and Historic Scotland to ensure every stage of the renovation honoured the property’s history and met all required standards.

The property was carefully stripped back to the original stone walls and chemically treated for mould and insect protection. We fully reframed the interior using modern treated timber, built back into the existing stone structure as per original and poured a new insulated concrete floor throughout. All old wiring was completely removed, a new consumer board installed, and a full rewire carried out with all new fittings. The plumbing system was similarly stripped out and fully replaced with modern, efficient services.

Traditional timber sash and case windows were installed throughout the property, fitted and finished using traditional pointing and caulking methods to meet listing regulations. Externally, every inch of old pointing was removed, the stonework carefully cleaned, and the entire exterior repointed with full lime mortar by our highly skilled stonemason strictly following Historic Scotland’s specifications. Including the full replacement of all skews and chimneys, Stonemason also fully plastered every internal wall and ceiling to leave a perfect finish.

A new front door along with two traditional casement windows were made in our workshop, replicating period details from a 1900s photograph, while discreetly updating to modern insulation standards and quality hardware.

Inside, all flooring and joinery finishings were designed to create a bright, modern living space, while thoughtfully retaining the building’s period character. A wood burning stove was also supplied and installed to suit the clients requirements, finished with a composite mantle beam and granite hearth.

From project management to supplying all trades in-house, we handled every stage of this extensive renovation with care, expertise, and a commitment to the highest standards.

A small insight into an extensive renovation we completed for our clients beautiful West End Property.

We recently supplied a full renovation package covering all trades which consisted of a reconfiguration to the ground floor including the fitting of structural steel to open plan multiple rooms, with many bespoke finishings to complement the period of this property with a touch of modern style.

Bespoke Treehouse. 🌲🏡

We were Delighted to have been asked to design and install this cracking play treehouse for our returning clients.

Treehouse spec compromised of :

Fully insulated Timber kit, slated roof with lead ridge, Scottish granite pads with rustic timber pillars, a staircase made to home regs, double glazing, stable door, LED downlighting, LED outdoor up lighting along with stair lighting.
Fully powered with Wifi and TV

Our client wanted a high end bespoke finish to match the rest of their luxurious period property.
We were instructed to carry out and Manage all works for this project to a high standard.

This included -

- Floor to ceiling built up panneling to 6 hallways, 2 staircases, using custom ran timber dado rail and panel beading bespoke ran as per clients design.

- New built up skirting throughout including all stair stringers.

- All plasterwork re-done.

- Full floor to ceiling re-decoration. Using Farrow & Ball colours. - KBM Painter & Decorator

- Italian Chandeliers removed & dismantled, safely stored to fit new plaster of Paris ceiling roses, then re fitted piece by piece after all New works complete. - D A Stephen electrical

-New cornice fitted in various rooms.

- All new door ironmongery fitted around full property. From The Anvil

- Socket faceplates renewed to pewter throughout property, wall lights added in several locations.

- Standard radiators removed, cast iron period correct radiators, paint finished in farrow and ball colours. Plus full en-suite fit out. Tweed Plumbing Foundry Cast Iron Radiators & Baths

- Full new Floor coverings supplied and fitted separate by - The Flooring Lodge

- Joinery materials supplied by - MKM Building Supplies & Datum2 Ltd
