A kitchen designed around family life.

When renovating their Banbury townhouse, our clients made the decision to move the kitchen from the first floor to the ground floor, creating a space that worked much better for life with two young children.

Deep green Heritage Shaker cabinetry, pale stone, aged brass and an island that’s become the natural gathering place for everything from breakfast to homework.

Because bespoke isn’t simply about making cabinetry to fit a room. It’s about designing a kitchen to fit the people who live there.

Behind the craft.

Every Armac Martin piece passes through at least ten pairs of British hands before it is complete.

That probably tells you everything you need to know about why we choose to use their hardware in our kitchens.

A long-established, family-run British manufacturer, Armac Martin has been making beautiful architectural hardware in Birmingham for almost a century, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing to create pieces designed to last.

We were lucky enough to visit their workshop and see that craftsmanship first-hand, from machining and polishing through to the final finishes.

When you put as much care into designing and making a bespoke kitchen as we do, the finishing details matter. We want the pieces we choose to complement our cabinetry to share the same values: quality, craftsmanship, provenance and longevity.

Because a handle might be one of the smallest parts of a kitchen, but it’s also one of the parts you’ll touch every single day.

A huge thank you to the Armac Martin team for welcoming us behind the scenes.

Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that make you fall in love with a space.

A shaft of evening sunlight across the worktop.

Long shadows stretching across the floor.

That warm golden glow that only appears for a few minutes before the sun disappears.

When we photograph our kitchens, we’re not just capturing cabinetry. We’re capturing the moments that happen within them.

Because long after you’ve stopped noticing the colour of the doors or the style of the handles, you’ll still notice how the room makes you feel.

And that’s what good design is really about.

The kitchen isn’t just where dinner gets made anymore.

For so many of us, it’s where the working day begins too.

The kitchen island has become the place for answering emails over that first coffee, jumping on a Teams call, helping with homework, planning the week, or simply catching up on life before the day gets going.

That’s why we think beyond cooking when we design a kitchen.

Is there enough seating? Enough natural light? Somewhere to plug in a laptop? Space for everyone to gather without getting in each other’s way?

A well-designed kitchen works just as hard between 9 and 5 as it does at breakfast and dinner.

Because the best kitchens are designed for real life, not just cooking.

Let’s talk shop…ever wondered how beaded cabinet frames are made?

It all comes down to precision.

This is our newest piece of kit – the notcher – and it’s already earning its place in the workshop. It allows us to create perfectly clean, accurate joints for our beaded cabinet frames, ensuring every detail fits together exactly as it should.

It’s one of those machines that most people would walk straight past, but for us it’s another step towards achieving the level of craftsmanship we’re known for.

Behind every finished kitchen are countless processes like this. The details you may never notice are often the ones that make the biggest difference.

Craftsmanship isn’t just about the finished result. It’s about how you get there.

Quality control comes in many forms…

While photographing this kitchen, Jodie could hear an awful lot of banging coming from the under-sink cupboard.

Naturally, she went to investigate…

Out popped the homeowner’s cat, gave the camera a very matter-of-fact meow, and carried on as if this happened every day.

Safe to say, the real star of the shoot had arrived.

We might design the kitchens, but it’s usually the pets who decide who’s really in charge.

Some details never go out of style.

A beautifully made tap is something you’ll use every single day, so it’s worth choosing one that’s built to last.

That’s one of the many reasons we love Perrin & Rowe . British-made with exceptional craftsmanship, their taps combine elegant proportions with beautifully refined details that feel every bit as good as they look.

Timeless rather than trend-led, they sit effortlessly within both classic and contemporary interiors, complementing the rest of the kitchen without ever demanding attention.

It’s these thoughtful finishing touches that complete a space.

Beautifully designed. Expertly made. Built to be enjoyed for years to come.

While Luke is often the face you’ll meet during the design process, every Cherrywood project is a team effort.

Meet Alex and Paul – two incredibly skilled craftsmen whose attention to detail, patience and pride in their work help bring every design to life.

From the first cut of timber to the final finishing touches, they’re the hands behind the cabinetry that leaves our workshop and finds its way into your home.

There’s no production line here. Just a small team of hardworking people who genuinely care about getting every detail right.

We think that’s something worth celebrating.

So here’s to the makers behind the magic. We couldn’t do it without them.

Let’s be honest… if you have a dog, chances are the kitchen is their favourite room in the house too.

Whether they’re patiently waiting for the odd crumb to fall, stretched out in the warmest spot on the floor, or keeping you company while dinner’s being made, they’re always close by.

We love seeing dogs become part of the story when we photograph our kitchens. After all, these spaces aren’t just designed for cooking; they’re designed for everyday life, muddy paws and all.

A home should feel lived in, loved and shared with everyone who calls it home.
