By using the latest Tekla detailing software, we can take you on a tour through your new extension or building so you know exactly what the end result will be. 💡Project Spotlight | Wychwood Golf Club Driving Range

Hawkins Steel Ltd fabricated and delivered the structural steel framework for a new golf driving range development at Wychwood Golf Club in Oxfordshire.

Working within a live golf environment, our team delivered a fully engineered steel solution, from detailed site surveying and in-house fabrication through to precise on-site installation. The main 72-metre-long building incorporated a galvanised steel portal frame with cold-rolled Z-purlins, alongside an additional portal-frame building providing covered coaching space for the club’s new golf training area.

Delivered on time and within budget, the project demonstrates the value of precision engineering, quality-controlled fabrication and close collaboration from design through to installation.

🌟 Celebrating 15 years of Service - Pete Salt 🌟

We're proud to celebrate Pete's 15 year milestone at Hawkins Steel Ltd. Pete's career has spanned decades and showcases an impressive wealth of experience. He began his working life at Banbury Buildings as a tool maker before training as a fabricator. He then spent 15 years at ARM in Enstone, helping manufacture amusement rides for theme parks around the world. When the company relocated to America, Peter chose to stay in the UK to support his young family.

His career journey then saw him working a Atlas Cranes, fitting cranes to lorries, followed by a role at Betgate, more in the construction sector. It was here he met Chris Lowe from Hawkins Steel, who suggested he joined the Hawkins team.

Reflecting on his time with us, Pete said:

I started when Mick was in charge and have since grown up with this very family orientated company. When Mike took over, this ethos continued. It's a nice atmosphere to work in, and I appreciate the trust they put in me'

Outside of work, Pete enjoys walking his two dogs, watching football, and spending time with his family. When asked about his future, Pete joked that Hawkins will be his last employer, as he turns 70 next year! 👷

Congratulations, Pete on reaching this fantastic milestone. Thank you for you hard work, loyalty and dedication.👏🙏
