When we say non-dig, we mean NO DIG! 💪

Here’s an insight into a recent job we completed in Belfast.

Rats had gained entry to a property through two defects in the drainage system, both located directly beneath an extension.

The traditional approach would have meant excavating the extension floor, disturbing the underfloor heating and leaving the homeowner facing a potentially huge bill.

Not on our watch!

We came up with a non-dig solution that avoided the need to rip up the floor, saving the homeowner a small fortune and a whole lot of unnecessary hassle.

With no upstream access to the drainage system, we temporarily disconnected a toilet and pulled in two rat-proof liners, negotiating multiple bends from approximately 15 metres downstream.

The result? A targeted repair without the need for excavation.

No digging. No ripped-up floors. No unnecessary expense. Just a smarter solution to a tricky drainage problem. 🐀🔧

Our drain survey also uncovered some badly fractured sections of pipework, which were subsequently repaired to help prevent further issues and ensure the drainage system was left in good condition.

We carried out repairs at this property this week. The property had been experiencing ongoing rat issues for several years. It had previously been surveyed by another company last year, where no issues were identified. Despite this, the homeowner was sold a drain valve. 🤔

Around 12 months later, the rats returned — this time in numbers.

A perfect example of why we believe in finding the problem, fixing the cause, and not simply plastering over the cracks. 🐀🔧

Some recent work completed following a drain survey at a domestic property in Banbridge for a customer of Active Pest Management.

This property had been experiencing recurring rat infestations over the past few years.

Following the drain survey, several issues were identified within the drainage system that were contributing to the ongoing problem.

This week, we carried out non-dig repairs at a commercial property in Downpatrick after a recent drain survey.

The main issues were poorly capped redundant pipework and damaged benching within a manhole, both of which were providing rats with an opportunity to enter the building.

We repaired the damaged benching to restore the manhole to prevent any further problems.

To seal off the redundant pipework, we installed a rat-proof liner through a Y-junction. This allows the live section of pipework to continue functioning as normal while permanently blocking rats from accessing the redundant connection – all without any excavation. 🪏🐀

Working alongside Averminator Pest Control on this one 🐀🚫

During a recent drain survey in Saintfield, we uncovered a defective connection and gully. Rats had gnawed through a plastic reducer where the small-bore pipework connects to the 4-inch pipework, creating a route into the property from the drainage system.

A rat burrow was also located nearby, created by rats burrowing out from beneath the property.

The team carried out rat-proof repairs to the damaged section, sealing off the entry point into the property and closing the door on any further unwanted visitors.

We are delighted to receive another 5-star review from a valued customer.

Across Northern Ireland, one of the most common causes of recurring rat infestations in properties is a defective drainage system. Rats are excellent climbers and swimmers, often exploiting damaged drains and uncapped redundant pipework to gain access to properties unnoticed.

During our survey of this property, we identified an uncapped redundant section of drainage that had been left in place following the relocation of a toilet. This created a direct access route from the drainage system into the property, allowing rats to enter undetected.

Thankfully, the issue was relatively minor and was resolved with a straightforward repair, effectively sealing the entry point and preventing any further unwanted visitors.

We were recently called to a property experiencing ongoing rat activity. Following a detailed survey of the drainage system, we identified an uncapped section of drainage left beneath a porch extension — effectively providing rats with a hidden access route directly into the property.

The team exposed the uncapped pipework and securely capped the redundant section of drainage to eliminate the entry point. The ground was then fully reinstated.

Rat issues often originate from drainage systems, which is why a thorough survey is crucial for a long-term solution. 🐀

We recently carried out repairs to a fractured pipe causing recurring blockages beneath a busy local bar. Instead of traditional excavation methods, we used a non-dig lining solution to quickly and efficiently resolve the issue.
