I think as parents we can put so much pressure on ourselves to get things right.
But there will be times when we lose our patience, raise our voice, or react in a way we wish we hadn’t.
And afterwards, it can be so easy to think, I should have handled that better.
But we’re human too. 🤍
What matters is that we can come back to our children and say,
“I’m sorry. I didn’t handle that very well. Can we try again?”
Those little moments of repair really matter.
They show our children that we can get things wrong, talk about them, reconnect and try again.
Parenting isn’t about getting it right all of the time.
Sometimes, coming back and making things right is just as important.
