To our valued customers and all that have shown support to Studio 10.

After 11 wonderful years in Bakewell, we have made the difficult decision to close our Bakewell showroom. Like many independent businesses, we have faced increasing financial pressures over recent years. Rising supplier and transport costs, changing consumer spending and a challenging economic climate, combined with our director’s planned retirement after almost 50 years in the industry, mean that operating the showroom is no longer financially sustainable.

While this is a sad decision, we will continue to honour all existing orders and projects where deposits have been paid and orders processed. Customers whose projects are still in the working stages will continue to receive the same care, attention and service from Matt and the team that Studio 10 has always been known for.

Moving forward, Matt will continue to work within the industry, operating his newly founded design and supply service from his home office, one that will challenge the traditional showroom experience with a mobile solution that travels to the consumer and brings the experience to them.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved over the past 11 years. Since opening, we have navigated recession, Brexit, the Covid pandemic, supply chain disruption, rising transport costs and the current cost of living crisis. Throughout it all, our focus has remained the same: creating beautifully designed, functional spaces tailored to each client's needs.

To everyone who has trusted us with their homes, recommended us to friends and family, or simply visited our showroom—thank you. Your support has meant everything, and we will miss being part of the Bakewell community.

Over the coming months we will be selling off displays and items from the showroom, so please keep an eye on our social media for details -you may find something perfect for your home.

This kitchen exemplifies a refined contemporary design, combining clean architectural lines with a warm and inviting material palette. The space is characterised by a sophisticated balance of natural textures, muted tones, and carefully integrated lighting, creating an environment that is both highly functional and visually striking.

The cabinetry features a combination of textured wood-effect finishes and sleek matt grey units, delivering a modern aesthetic while maintaining warmth and character. Handleless cabinetry enhances the streamlined appearance, contributing to the minimalist design language throughout the room. Integrated appliances are seamlessly incorporated within the tall cabinetry wall, ensuring a cohesive and uncluttered look.

A standout feature of the kitchen is the dramatic roof lantern, which floods the space with natural daylight and enhances the sense of openness. The vaulted ceiling further amplifies the feeling of space, while the carefully positioned pendant lighting above provides both task illumination and a strong visual focal point.
The cooking area is framed by a contemporary slatted feature panel and floating shelf, adding texture and architectural interest. Under-shelf lighting and concealed LED strips throughout the cabinetry introduce a warm ambient glow, highlighting the clean lines of the design and creating atmosphere during evening use.

The light and neutral quartz worktops provide a crisp contrast to the darker cabinetry elements and offer generous preparation space. Large-format LVT floor tiles complete the scheme, delivering durability, practicality, and a seamless modern finish.
Overall, the kitchen successfully blends contemporary styling with everyday functionality. Thoughtful lighting design, premium materials, and a carefully considered layout combine to create a sophisticated family space that is ideal for cooking, entertaining, and daily living.
