Bang on target in Swadlincote. 🎯

That red dot sitting dead centre isn’t just a cool photo. It’s how we set the fall on drainage so the water goes exactly where it should (first time, every joint).

Once it’s buried, nobody sees the levels, the bedding or the alignment. What they do see later is whether it works. No standing water. No callbacks. No “we’ll have to dig that up again”.

That’s the bit we take care of, so you don’t have to think about it.

Why do we CAT scan and dig trial holes before we break ground?

Before we dig, we find what’s already there.

Utility records are a guide, not a guarantee (cables, gas, water and fibre often sit off the drawing or aren’t shown at all). A strike can injure someone, take the power or gas out of the high street and stop the job.

So we CAT scan the area, mark what we find, then hand dig trial holes to confirm depth, position and type before any plant goes in.

That’s the CAT4 on the marked line and the trial holes following the spray. It keeps the team, the public and the neighbouring services safe and it keeps the programme moving.
