💷🌿 THE BOYS’ FIRST EVER A&D PAYSLIP! 🌿💷
Roan and Kier completed their first official half-day for A&D Garden Services Ltd today, helping me install gravel. Fair play to them both — great work ethic, plenty of graft and the site banter was definitely up to A&D standards. 😂💪
They were absolutely buzzing when I told them they’d earned £20 each for their shift…
Then payroll stepped in. 😬😂
Unfortunately, working for the family business comes with some fairly brutal deductions:
£3.00 — Kids Tax
£1.50 — Sweetie & Snack Tax 🍬
£4.00 — Playing in the Gravel Instead of Spreading It Tax 🤦♂️
£0.75 — Wheelbarrow Driving Licence 😂
£1.25 — Tea Break Longer Than Dad’s ☕️
£0.50 — Mud on Boots Cleaning Charge 🥾
Thankfully, management recognised some exceptional performance with a £2 bonus for finding 17 nice stones. 😂👏
So after starting the day on a very respectable £20 gross wage, the harsh reality of A&D payroll kicked in…
NET PAY: £11.00 EACH 💸😂
Manager’s report was positive though:
✔️ Worked hard… most of the time
✔️ Only tipped the wheelbarrow once
✔️ Didn’t bury Dad’s shovel
✔️ Excellent stone-collecting skills
✔️ Banter levels: very promising
Not bad for Roan, 10, and Kier, 8 on their first day in the landscaping industry. 😂❤️
Proud of the pair of them — they genuinely worked really well and got properly stuck in.
Although judging by their reaction to the deductions, I’m expecting a meeting with the union first thing Monday morning. 😂😂🌿
A&D Garden Services Ltd — developing the next generation of landscapers… while teaching them early that the payslip never looks as good as the hourly rate. 🤣💷
