We've done it! Managed to get the last of the trees planted last Saturday. The efforts of our volunteers are very much appreciated.
Many thanks to Aleks from Scottish Wildlife Dundee and Angus group and local volunteers Vanessa and Paul in getting us over the line on the last day of planting. Lizzie was not able to make it on the last day but her work over the autumn has been exceptional.

Volunteer days but not be complete without a wee bit of baking. Petra's scones were delicious and my walnut and honey cake wasn't too bad as well if I do say so myself 😁. Ian's food basket wheelbarrow proved to be an essential piece of equipment for transporting stakes and tubes. Innes has done a great job coordinating the planting and keeping the volunteering going this spring.
Looking forward to more volunteer work this summer so watch this space for further information.

Dear All,
I hope you are well. We wish you a Happy Easter.
We have made fantastic progress with our tree planting project at Dronley Wood. We are now working on underplanting the woodland edge and are also replanting some areas damaged by windblow over the last few years.
We planted more than 1000 trees last month to develop Dronley Wood into a diverse, structurally rich, and resilient mixed woodland.

We will continue our tree-planting project at Dronley Wood during April. It would be brilliant if you could join us.

Our Volunteer days for April are as follows:-

Wednesday 15th
Saturday 18th
Saturday 25th

If you fancy some tree planting this weekend, please join us this Saturday morning at 10am at the car park at the Dronley Community Woodland. Our volunteer days are subject to weather conditions, so please email [email protected] if you plan to come along. Suitable clothing and footwear, waterproofs, and gardening gloves should be worn. All planting tools will be provided.
